Fix the 'casual' matchmaking for less skilled players (especially solo q)
Do you ever look at the stats of what your matchmaking is doing?
I understand that it's hard and inherently it's much easier to play killer on the lower skill bracket than on the higher one.
So me being a really bad survivor is hard to balance but this matchmaking doesn't even try.
If you want some proof here is me playing the game for 3h as survivor in solo q while being able to escape once, then I switch to killer and never get less than 2 kills??? I know it's a giant skill issue on my side but how is that a fun 'casual' matchmaking. It just pads good killers on their back that btw almost never even gave a hatch so their MMR should go through the roof.
Also as background I have not played killer in years and play these games with 0 perks, 0 addons and I play a killer that has a single ability compared to e.g. vecna who has more abilities than I can count on one hand (which may not be better but 100% confuses a lot of new survivors like myself more).
Like the killer matchmaking doesn't even put me into harder lobbies even though I consistently am able to get a 4K and never get less than 2K while the survivor matchmaking is just plotting me against killers playing mostly meta perks and being able to down me pretty quickly.
I recorded this yesterday and just now I got at least some better survivors where I still got a 3K but the round after I had again the worst survivors known to mankind.
I would just like for the balancing team to also care about the lower skill bracket instead of whatever you looking at (probably only the highest tier where all the famous streamers are in).
AGAIN: I don't want killer nerfs/survivor buffs, I just want the matchmaking to actually start putting people of equal skill against each other in lower skill brackets which should be in my opinion the goal of a competitive matchmaker and maybe helps out so that casual players can learn the game (looping) and escape once or twice in 10 games (a lot of my friends stopped playing the game because it's 'killer sided' = matchmaking sucks a lot).

New event dropped and it's even more egregious than before.
Literally no killer gives any hatch or does not slug for the 4k while the gen count is at 5 90% of the matches when they end.
Me switching to killer with huntress no perks addons instantly getting a 4k at 5 gens.
THX DEVS!
Just keep making solo survivor miserable i guess...

The tradeoff for such strict matchmaking is longer queue times. Are you prepared to wait that long though?

No the tradeoff for fast matchmaking is what I showcased in my gameplay recording: Constant, unfun, unbalanced games even though the sides are supposedly balanced just because the matchmaking is not strict at all.
Am I prepared to wait longer but instead get to play the game? Yes.
If you want more proof how broken this is I had 2 games in all of my killer games since I recorded this where I actually got outplayed (with 0 perks and 0 addons).
All other games I just got the 4K or should have gotten it but let them all live or gave hatch because I can't ######### ######### on bad players all day while pretending this is fun or fair (which is what no joke a lot of killers do right now lol).On my 2 year old build on hag with surge and ruin IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT GET A 4K.
On my 400h survivor main with all meta perks IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO ESCAPE ONCE IN 20 GAMES (one nice killer shows up once in a while that lets me escape or farm so I can technically not report a higher non escape rate).

If you constantly get 4k's with hag with surge and ruin you're ether a god at hag OR you didn't win enough to get good survivors. I play almost constantly against people with 2k to 9k hours and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't win a lot of them with hag and that build xD
To survivor: I feel like the killers are pretty balanced for me, but my teammates are often potatos that think it's funny to cleanse against hag next to my chase. I don't think it's nessasary a problem for me at least because I should get people that are at least okay if I get a higher mmr, but I see why people don't like it like this and they should probably try fixing it .

Issue is survivors under 1k hours simply don't know how to play against Hag, because she is just rare to play against and noone bothers to do research.

That's true but nothing bhvr could change in any way with the matchmaking, even if they get a worse hag they wouldn't win that probably because you can just camp way to easy with her outside of her normal playstyle and they still don't know it. They'd have to give solo-queue more informations and give them easy material to learn the counterplay, well or they have to learn themself but that's the same they could do now xD

Bloodmoon event was way better than this sweatfest,
thank god the latest chapter brought some funky perks to play with
matches feel random, inconsistend, its like everyone can be matched with everyone

Challenge don't get a 4K on hag using the same build from 2 years ago and not having played her since:
It's soley a matchmaking issue, I don't even get hard games as a killer.
Just really bad survivors. I can't even bring myself to 4k them any more because there is nothing they can do.
As someone who mained her a long time ago I can tell you that this is the worst hag gameplay you will ever see - I still win every time.
EDIT: Also as you can see the matchmaker already took quite a while (but that was probably because it was late at night) and the quality was still horrendus - something is very broken in there. I should just like in the previous session not be able to just win 95% of the time without even using any/meta addons/perks.

Well the mmr of killers you didn't play a while gets taken down to make it easier playing them again. Besides that if you don't kill them you don't gain mmr, so of course you won't get harder matches like that.
I don't know what it is in your case that it's so horrible but I get mostly balanced matches or matches where I get destroyed as killer. Well I don't play hag so I don't know if it's a problem with her maybe xD
