Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

skins are more than characters, and at the rate we get them is slow. i thought we were getting a price reduction with the store update, and how come sales only apply to auric cells and not shards?

This is actually nuts, its overpriced as hell, it's not like DBD is free…. the grind is ABSURD, I just doesn't buy any skins, which is sad, I'd like to help the game, but is FAR to expensive to buy ONLY ONE SET.

It's because skins are just skins. No gameplay elements. Characters come with perks which actually matter to the game. So characters are cheaper so that their perks are more accessible.

It's actually a really equitable way to do things.

They standardized the prices for all rarities. Which meant some cosmetics went down but most of them stayed the same and only a few increased in price.

As for why skins cost more than characters. Well, it just works for business i suppose. Cosmetics in online gaming are very expensive relative to actual playable content, which is often free to play in these types of games. It is a bit absurd how the actual value isn't matching up with the prices but like i said it just seems to work for business.
