Yes, Please Let's Give Survivors Even More Second Chances!
i like how those leaked perks help survivors against slugging, which is a result of survivor mistakes anyways and they should get punished for letting themself fall victim to it, yet the devs still dont do anything to help killers against hatch and it's almost been 3 years. Like it's perfectly okay for survivors to dc and give the last survivor hatch and there's nothing you can do about it. Can we at least get some DC protection on the hatch, forcing a Survivor to at least do 1 generator to get it to open? Also Mettle of Man is basically Dead Hard 2.0. It's so ridiculous the amount of Survivor favoritism that is happening. Making all these changes but doing nothing to help the killer side. I play both roles, and Survivor is so easy you can literally faceroll and win, it's so easy it's just plain boring. Just another reason to only play Nurse and no other killer.

I'm not fussed about respectable buffs here and there but MoM is basically a free pallet to a survivor with no counter play. It's DS all over again.
2 -
git gud dude, ruin got buffed and you don't see survivors making threads about it
13 -
Yeah perk that dissapears in first 30 seconds and survivors spawning on top of it.
6 -
do you even thrill of the hunt bruh?
7 -
I don't consider Tier 1 and 2 perk buffs terribly relevant. Tier 3 is almost always the only one that really matters (the only arguable exception are Distressing, Discordance, and pre-2.6.0 Hex: Devour Hope).
1 -
If you are talkign about flip-flop with the 50% wiggle meter, then I can guarantee you that it will break the game completely if they implement it this way. Its basically a non-limited non-obession DS that can 100% free himself via wiggle if there is a swf mate nearby (forcing killer not to pick up by flashlight first)
2 -
Waste 2 perk slots on hex totems, might as well play with only two from the start.
2 -
But you know the devs don't do anything to help killers...except
Killers complain about bodyblocking= mad grit
killers complain about looping= bamboozle, Legion, nerf windows, reduce pallets
killers complain about gen rush= corrupt intervention
killers complain about pallets= spirit fury
10 -
Flop Flop is OP, I hope they will never release that perk in its current state. It's like a perma-DS.
4 -
Survivors complain about every single killer= nerfs or reworked.
No one likes legion. Plain and simple.
3 -
Stop crying omg, you just had ds nerfed.
11 -
Remember that we are far away from the next chapter, it's going to be changed, calm down

Gratz got out of the jail

Just to be clear, only survivors perks were leaked. If there is a killer to come out with Ash (which there probably is) we don't know what their perks will do yet.
1 -
So spend all game defending totems while three others do the gens? Ruin is overrated.
2 -
It has some counterplay. Once you hit them for a 5th time... and they are downed... you see 2 auras for x time afterwards.
0 -
Dude it is only in kyf and not live....Chill just a bit.
1 -
Tbh those perk seems good only on paper.
0 -
Both sides complain. I was just addressing the comment that this OP apparently missed the last 3-4 killer releases and perks and all the balance patches that have come out. "Making all the changes but doing nothing to help the killer side". Yeah, okay.
3 -
If the killer gets a "after hitting a survivor 3 times, the 4th hit on a survivor grants you an instadown" perk then I'll agree.
Can't see that happening though.
0 -
Whats the complaint? you hit them 3 times then all of a sudden they get a 1 time avoidance buff? Considering 90% of killers tunnel and camp? Odds are you won't get that third hit in. If you do and you heal up, your aura is read by the killer OUTSIDE of 16m for the rest of the game? lol
You're playing SWF and bad killers if you're 'face rolling everyone'.
Ah Patch day. The ole' "im gonna make a new profile just to rant about what i think is OP" Day. This isn't even relevant content yet LOL
- These perks are leaked, 4 months early
- You don't even see the new killer's counter perks
- Flip Flop isn't OP, don't be a slugging peckerhead
- MoM causes an OoO aura for the killer outside 16m
- MoM is countered by a gen/vault grab
- Buckle Up is countering slugging, which is currently only countered by Unbreakable and No Memer.
1 -
And all of them are perks they should be in the game itself
1 -
The aura isn't a good thing, it's a bad thing.
Have you not see people complaining about OoO for a long time on here?
A free escape AND the ability to tbag the killer from across the map. It's a toxic survivoes dream.
2 -
You really love the teabags Crusader lol. Can't say I feel different.

Due to the update survivors are not supposed to spawn within line of sight of a totem.
0 -
That is why a person posted his group spawning next to a hex totem just a while ago. Ok.

Grabs are pretty broken rn, slugging was the killers best means of slowing the game down and now we should be punished for it?

I really hope Flip Flop and Mettle of Man are just ideas that never make it to the PTB. Those perks would be insanely OP. They're basically like the old DS.
3 -
Sure in that case all survivors should come with built in Borrowed Time, Self Care, and Adrenaline. Balance right?
0 -
I'm just over here and i can't wait to main the ######### out of Ash. As a killer main, i say bring on the new juicy perks.
2 -
This is my thoughts as well. Those 2 perks look broken. I can see ways to abuse them heavily.
1 -
I don't think its as good as people think. I believe TydeTime hit the nail on the head with his view of the perk.
1 -
I think this is where he totally missed it entirely.
1 -
Killers dont need much help and Legion needs complete rework or delet. tbh, things are fairly balanced and killers only complain cause they are bad and dont know how to run tiles. Here is a educational guide for running ALL generic tilesets with a maximum of 2 loops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8u0jRxN2kQ
That being said, certain windows ARE broken and bad for killer, ie Ironworks, suffication pit, racid abbatour.... these are the real problem

Imo, they only sound good on paper. flip flop? Just dont slug, and most of the time people dont even do that anyway (it really isnt the best idea imo.) with mettle of man, it only props if you get hit 4 times with a basic attack- meaning huntress hatchets n ######### wont prop it (and it would really only take effect once per match.) and either way, these leaked perks might not even make it through, its about like 10 weeks early- soo much time for a lot to change.

Do you really think it will only work with normal attacks? This will probably the first mechanic for which instantdowns count as 2 attacks. Its more likely to scan the healthstate.
0 -
The way it is worded it will definitely only work on regular attacks and instadowns won't count as two attacks
0 -
As for the ruin buff. Did I miss something or is it just the tier thing?
That isn't a real buff. Not like any killer mains are running Ruin 1 or 2 over 3 anyways. From time to time I actually considered that Ruin 1 or 2 might have held unintentional advantages for the killer. Ruin 3 and now all ruin force the surivors to all break off and hunt the totem(most cases). I sometimes felt like it could be a benefit if 2 people COULD do the gens while 2 people had to go search for Ruin.
It would be amazing to see the statistics if Ruin 1 or 2 lasted longer in game than 3.

You Familiar with Make your choice? If not you should check it out. basically its a free down if you hit the right person.

Can someone please interpret the OP for me? I honestly don't know what he/she is talking about. How did survivors get more second chances again?
0 -
killers have multitudes of one hit perks, powers, and add ons that require so little conditions.so what you mean?
0 -
@Dreamnomad The upcoming survivor perks for the next DLC have been leaked accidentally by BHVR. And it's looking like these perks are even stronger than Dead Hard and the old DS. So we as a community have probably 3 months to convince BHVR that those perks can't make it into the game.
Edit: I reworded it a bit

@feechima These are legitimate complaints. And it's not as if the killer had 8 or 9 perk slots available.
0 -
Okay, how god damn hard is it for you people to put a reference link when you want to talk about something new? Don't just assume that every person knows what you are talking about. Here:
It wasn't all that hard. You people are losing your mind over something that isn't even a thing yet. They are decent perks, but none of them are overpowered. This isn't the second coming of decisive strike. I swear, most people on these forums have no idea how to evaluate perks.
Mettle of Men is basically a mediocre dead hard. You have to get hit 3 times in order to avoid one hit. And that doesn't somehow magically teleport you to a random point on the map. The killer is still right on your butt ready to hit you again. 9 times out of 10 you'll still go down within the next 10 seconds that this triggers. Big deal.
Flip Flop is just a silly perk to be used when trying a hook breaking strategy. Hook breaking is already a terrible strategy. This isn't the missing piece of a master strategy. This is honestly just a bad version of unbreakable. The sky is not falling! These perks will have minimal impact on the game.

@Dreamnomad MoM reads very powerful. Also keep it mind that it will be combined with other already existing perks. And Flip Flop in the hands of coordinated SWFs has also immense potential.
0 -
No. It doesn't.
Mettle of Man- After getting hit 3 times by a killers basic attack this perk activates. Once activated, the next occasion that would put you in the dying state from the injured state is ignored. The next time you heal back to full health, your aura will be revealed to the killer when you are more than 16 meters from the killer. The perk will deactivate the next time you are put into the dying state. Higher chance of being obsession.
Like I said, you all suck at evaluating perks. You can combine this perk with whatever you want. It still isn't good. There are a lot of killers that this ability completely blanks on. Plague for instance. She pukes on you until you are broken. No basic attack at that point. Then basic attack to finish you off. If she isn't doing that, then she is using corrupt puke to injure you. Also not a basic attack. Do the math. You are dead before she basic attacks you 4 times.
She's not the only killer like that either. Any killer that can hurt you with their ability throws off the math. Any of the chainsaw killers that can one shot you, completely borks the perk. This perk only activates when you are already in the injured state. If you get hit with one shot ability then you skip that and go down. Hello NOED. Hello MYC. Hello Devour Hope.
And if, just if, you manage to avoid all of those things and get lucky and actually get one activation out of the perk. From what I read, it literally can only activate at most once then it deactivates. Then what? You avoid ONE HIT! That's it. One lousy hit. As I said before, it doesn't teleport you away from the killer. The killer is still right behind you. Even if you get the speed boost and the killer swipes their weapon like a normal hit, that is hardly a get out of jail free card.
The killer is still behind you. The killer still knows where you are. You are still injured. Most of the time the killer will still catch you. And guess what, let's say you either pull off a miracle and escape or the killer just abandons the chase. You are still screwed! The next time you are healed to full the killer can see your aura when outside 16 meter range. Good luck getting that hatch now =p So I say again, this is NOT the second coming of decisive strike. It's frankly not even that good of a perk. The majority of the time, you would be better off running Dead Hard. Sure, you can run both. Big deal. As far as exhaustion perks go, dead hard is one of the weaker ones imho.

The leaks aren't even final products of the game, they're LEAKS. Yes, Mettle of Man is most definitely going to be a problem, but it's just a leak of a concept. An idea. It could easily be reworked or changed when released intentionally to the public.
As for the anti-slugging perks, I don't see why they're bad. Buckle Up is fine, just as any aura perk, as it's one more element to close the gap between solo and SWF survivors. Flip Flop is only good at the end game if you are slugging to deny the hatch or their teammates are absolute potatoes when you down a survivor for map pressure, and there is no hook nearby. It's not like it's old DS, so you don't have to juggle or be right on a hook to deny it. It's literally 50% of the wiggle bar. It is not that much and is very situational for the survivor.

@EqMonkVeeshan Are you kidding?
Once MYC is active the killer has 60 seconds in which to find the survivor, who can evade the killer through stealth, or if need be looping. After 60 seconds the effect is over. Most killers don't take MYC because it's easy to play around.
How do you counter this new perk? Does it have a time limit? No. All you can fo is stop chasing after the third hit.
@Eveline If I wanted tea I'd switch the kettle on.
