Wicked should work on hook stage 2

Such a fringe/niche perk that only works in a small, specific area of the game may as well give two uses instead of players using an entire perk slot for a single use (maybe even zero) per game. It's honestly difficult to justify the perk even existing in its current form.

    Its main effect does.

The Deliverance effect is a niche extra. The main draw, the reason you'd run the perk, is the whopping twenty seconds of killer aura reading after both unhooks. I run it myself, it might not be top-tier meta but it's a really solid perk that helps you avoid any opportunistic tunnelling from killers.

It's not really niche perk, if you play around it.

I basically try to end my chase in shack (if there is basement) and this perk let's me greed shack like crazy, because I don't care if I die there. Most killers will bring you into basement unless you make it too obvious you have it.

But you definetly need SWF for this perk to be viable. So you can use information for call outs (when unhooked) and your teammates won't try save you (waste time).

I love that it lets you know for sure whether you can heal under hook or not.

    OK, I see.

You guys consider the 20s aura as the main effect/purpose and the guaranteed basement unhook as a secondary effect.

I see it as the opposite. The basement effect is the first listed in the perk's description, and thereby appears to be the primary purpose that the perk exists.

My take on it was, if the anti-tunneling bar allows a self-unhook at stage 2 (passive, not a perk), then it would be an effective upgrade for Wicked (is a perk) to do the same.

I never considered that people were typically running Wicked for the aura alone.

To be fair, you could also fix Wicked by just swapping which way around the effects are listed, in that case.

The 20s aura reading is more than enough for it to be a solid perk, the self-unhook can very much be a niche extra benefit.

If anything, it should be nerfed, the guaranteed self-unhook shouldn't work in endgame, since It's very easy to force the killer to hook you in the basement.
