Chests are waste of time in any case, and necessary evil if we have tome challange to open some.

But I have, quite controversial I assume, idea of how to increase value of chests and makes them as valuable as gens.

Remove items from bloodweb, leaving there only add-ons.

Simple but effective.

This way, if survivor wants to use an idem, they have to find it in a match, and loosing an idem would be painfull, because right now items are spammable goods one gets either way while progressing character, even on auto level up.

But, to not make this nerf only.

1. Make shared item inventory between all survivors.

2. Increase number of chests in a trial from 3 to random number between 4-8

3. Introduce more item-saving add-ons, at least one per item.

4. More chest spawning offerings (4, from yellow to iri, frmm +1 to +4 chests)

5. Make luck affecting quality of chest loot.

    This seems as very annoying change for survivors. Overall huge nerf.

    You are not making chests better, but mandatory instead. That's not a good idea.

    1;2;4 and 5 are all good things that should definitely come, but Idk about getting items only from chests. Therefore they would need to buff or remove at least the grey and yellow items, which are just trash.

    What do you want to do with all the items, that people already got? Like every player except of new players already got thousands of items, which makes this change just unfair.

    I think they should make „ace in the hole“ basekit. This alone would make chest a lot more useful and interesting.

    Maybe the could also add new special item variants of current items and new items, which you can only get from chest. This could make things more interesting, but only if they got cool/new special/useful effects.

    I hear you... And totally understand.

    But maybe it's necessary change?

    Right now, whole gameplay is to do gens, nothing else matters really, sometimes totems and/or hexes but chests are just waste of time, and items are abundant evwn higher tiers ones.

    There is also a few perks that affect chests this way or another but are totally useless because of how useless chests are. At the moment chests are mechanic that could be entirely removed from the game, and only thing that would be affected are tome challanges, because even chest perks are used only because those challanges.

    And items are overpowered, maybe it would be good to reduce their numbers, this would lead to some small buffs, even to medkits.
