Freddy is actually still movie accurate..kinda.
After rewatching the 2010 elm street I realized the micro sleep mechanic and survivors being able to see and be attacked by Freddy while awake is actually accurate to the movie, but seemingly only the 2010 movie. Later in the movie the main characters begin having "Micro Naps" which allowed Freddy to mess with them and hurt them even though they were awake and they only saw him intermittently which also happens currently in dbd, so Bhvr didn't make him not accurate to the movie, Freddy isn't visible while awake and he isn't just outside the dream world he's only visible and able to attack survivors because the survivors aren't fully awake and are having "Micro Naps" which in dbd is the mechanic Micro Sleep. Does this make Freddy less boring? No, but I still find it neat

i mean he used to actually pull you into the dream with his power and you couldn't hit anyone till they were in the dream state. It took like 5-6 seconds to do it.

he's lore accurate but not fun to play or strong. fun to play is most important for video games.

Most people are familiar with the original movies, hence the disappointment. I haven't seen the remake in a while. I guess I'll have to rewatch it!

He's lore accurate to an extent but it still doesn't really feel like you are playing as "Freddy Krueger" at all.
