DS is useless now

Well i am a person who literally hates decisive, but even i have to admit that it is useless now. Heres where: It does still increase your chance of beeing obsession. I see there is obsession i can just slug for couple of seconds after tunneling if i wanted. Never stabbed again.

    Slugging them for 60s has no downside.


    Not like slugging was nerfed or that 60s is going to basically cost you a gen if you stick around.

    A single person for repair a gen takes 80 seconds, so no. And while the ds guy is being slugging is to he's FAVOR because there's 1 person in the floor.. and he can patrol gens.. So no

    I’ve seen 1 DS user in the last 17-18 games or so. They never got a chance to use it...

    Honestly, I just played the new killer against a few DS users but I don’t tunnel. So they never really have the chance to use it. Fat L.

    Took out my DS from builds if I wanted to be annoying for fun or see how long I can do anything I call it the IM WILDIN build.

    If your definition of useless is that an entirely BROKEN perk got reworked into a normal decent anti tunnel perk then yeah, it's useless. Deal with that and stop complaining.

    Guys you don't have to slug for 60s. It counts from unhook, not from getting downed. It is usually couple of seconds when borrowed time triggered. Or you can down this person, go for another and come back. All it takes to make this perk viable is to remove its ability to make you obsession at the start when there are no other obsession perks. This way killers are never sure if its in game or not. Legit players would ill still never be hit by it, even with 4 ds per trial.

    It is still way healthier for game if it stays at it is now rather than reverting it back to oryginal form... but current state could use some work. The idea is brilliant - to punish only tunnellers, but execution is poor.

    @HavelmomDaS1 Its good killer can't be stabbed after first chase (which was the strongest aspect of it) or when playing by hooking and going hunting... but perk literally has no use now.

    my only problem is survivors with ds will bodyblock the killer when they get off hook in an attempt to force the perk lmao it is decent and balanced now though

    @KillermainBTWm8 How anti tunnel perk is balanced when i as killer can literally tunnel all 4 users and not get stabbed once?

    Don't get me wrong, I am guy who camped ds users just for having it and never actually used it myself just because it was broken. I am the most satysfied person to see it dumpstered. But making it literally useless is overkill.

    NOED has been heavily nerfed since release. From lasting indefinitely to lasting two minutes to becoming a Hex perk that can be disabled before its totem even lights up. Maybe learn to break totems and NOED won't be such a problem.

    @Orion Complaining about noed makes me gigle too. Nerfed twice already, countered by prolonging game by 20s. @Usui Break totems... Don't even start, if you don't trust others do it yourself. Small game, detective's hunch and maps are a thing.

    @Usui their is usually a pallet near and enduring isn’t a guaranteed counter. As for nurse

    1. console players have a rough time with her
    2. sone players can’t handle the fatigue.
    3. some players don’t have the best vision and can’t see through corn well, and nurse doesn’t help with this.

    point is DS had no guaranteed counter m.

    Breaking the totems stops NOED from activating. Enduring only makes DS slightly less bad.

    @Usui Enduring was not answer to DS. Of course it helped, but it is very overrated perk. Maybe on low ranks people are using it nilly willy but on normal play it meant you chave to start the chase all over again. Depends on map knowedgle and small bit of luck but when i was still fresh i could prolong first hook with ds for so long it was basically over. Well pallet vacuum was still a thing, game was very poorly balanced there. Combine it with kindred and any exhaustion perk and there you had it. Slug meta was a thing for reason.

    Also, this topic is about DS beeing useless now. I agree it needs a change (just no obsession at start, simply not knowing if ds is there will be a big factor against tunnel), but for the game it is way healthier that it stays useless than to revert it back to its previous form. Use Urban and don't get caught.

    No it isn’t. If anything, some of us find it more useful as survivor without being as annoying when playing Killer

    More synergy with Unbreakable and no penalty for multiple survivors running it, but because it isn't the exact same second chance crutch I've been running for the past two years, it's now useless, killers have it so easy, wah.

    DS is far from useless, git gud.
