Doctor's power shouldn't prevent unhooks

You guys add anti-camp to the game which is great. But certain killers like the doctor can camp very easily. I was using calm spirit and the killer still prevented me from unhooking someone due to an addon. There's no counter to this other than 'just doing gens and let them die' but that isn't a solution. It's an extremely boring to play against and shouldn't be in the game.

    if you get zapped by his power it makes it so you can't interact with anything. I don't think the iri add-on does it.

    Even with calm spirit? Because in chase I was completely fine and was able to vault pallets and windows when he was shocking. Yet when I tried to unhook, it showed a red symbol in the corner stopping me. Either way I shouldn't need a perk to counter this as it's completely dumb. I bring calm spirit for this situation specifically and it's not stopped me from unhooking before unless it was suppose to then.

    There isn't an add on that does it. The only one that shorten the shock delayed is the discipline add ons. If you wait until he shock then you can still perform the unhooked.

    I don't know what to tell you but he was able to spam the shock nonstop and someone went 2nd stage b/c it wasn't possible to unhook. Someone else was trying with me and it wasn't possible until he left the hook. Like I said, either way the shock shouldn't prevent unhook. That shouldn't be in the game. Just like how if you're fully insane you can't do much but you CAN unhook.

    Happened to me on Rpd. Doc also had discipline add on.

    One of the dumbest games ive had so far.

    Shock prevent unhooked since he first came out. His original design let you grab in his treatment mode. He probably doubled stack the discipline to spam it consistently and get hits. Just wait until he spam it then unhook the person.

    no he isn't.

    If two survivor stand like 12 meters apart. One survivor runs to the hook and begins unhook, they get shocked. the other survivor runs to hook, you can unhook the survivor.

    Doctor has 1 second cooldown for using shock therapy and 1 second charge time to use electric+0.52 second time for electric to shock with 2 discipline add-on. this is 2.52 second cooldown between shock #1 and shock #2.

    Hooking time is 1.5 seconds. In a swf, a player can 99% their sprint burst so they can rush the hook quicker as soon as doctor shocks attempts to shock survivor #2. As long as 1 survivor is not hit my electricity, you can always unhook.

    It must be hilarious watching bronze level survivor players failing to unhook their teammate against a doctor mindlessly spamming shock therapy at hooks.'

    Doc needs a 50% faster charge time add-on for shock therapy for this to be viable strategy.

    I mean, you could do the same against hook grabs, but that was removed for a good reason. It just messes with game flow too much and isn't very healthy that the killer can completely secure a stage with nothing the survivor can do about it. It's not like Doctor couldn't camp without shock therapy unhook denials.

    when hook grabs were possible, Doctor was stronger at face-camping because he could spam shock therapy and grab the 2nd survivor. You needed 3 survivor to rescue someone instead of 2. After he does grab someone, He can hit them twice during unhook or drop them.

    I consider doctor to be a good teacher-killer. He teaches survivors how to land skill-checks, how to use teamwork to properly unhook someone and how to judge distances and use critical decision making in loops. I don't think it is wise to just nerf him so you get free hook saves. He is already balanced as a killer. He is just not particularly good vs good players because the good player learned to how deal with all his tricks. Skill-check are too easy. pre-running is too strong for doctor and survivor can loop in smart way to extend loops to make his chase power ineffective. You can label him as noob-stomper. Unhook camping with shock therapy is just another one of his tricks to play against alongside all his other tricks.

    They recently buffed doctor to increase his shock range & delay and with addons it makes it really hard to unhook with it. We had two people there and one just dc'd because we couldn't get the unhook.

    Stuff like this in the game is why survs are playing less & quitting. Sure, it's rare, but it's completely unfun to play against. This game might be a doctor preventing unhooks with his ability & the next game is a pig just following you around preventing you from getting the trap off your head. This might seem small, but over time each match seems to have some small annoying thing that if changed, would improve the game a lot.
