Why did I get penalized?

I just played a match, where I was playing huntress. The game lagged, and ended the game; I thought nothing of it. That is until, I realized after exiting to the main screen (where you adjust perks, offerings, etc) that I had been penalized the same way you would if you had left for a game. I didn't D'c, nor did I do anything to leave the game.

    I've been having the same issue constantly for the past month or so. I play killer, at some point during a random match the game freezes and EVERYONE gets disconnected (in endgame lobby, everyone has the DC icon). Clearly, the server crashed for whatever reason (maybe even an angry survivor DDOSing), but survivors get no punishment while I get penalised not only with a BP loss, but also a timeout.
    It's clearly an issue on BHVR's end and needs to be addressed ASAP.

    This happened to me the other day too, I was playing everyone got dc'd because the server went frozen and then I get the dc penalty and couldn't play the game for 15 minutes.
