It doesn't matter whether or how much they win. They will never know their number

and it doesn't matter whether it's me, you, a streamer or anyone else.

Everyone knows the feeling of frustration when you have lost. You get angry while the other person is jubilant with joy. How do such extreme feelings come about? Dopamine

and when we lose, we feel the dopamine withdrawal.
That is all. Persistent feelings of disappointment can even lead to depression, but that's another topic.

Unfortunately, a large part of the dbd community often forgets this, while I love the game, the community does not. We often tend to remember the negative instead of the positive.

Unfortunately, there are also many black sheep among us who are happy when others are doing badly. But this is nothing new in the gaming scene and unfortunately will never change. The fact is (and I thank BHVR for this) that they will never know their hidden MMR number.

Only get angry about what you can and want to change. That's my tip. However, this is how I do it

The most important thing is that you have fun.

It doesn't matter what builds you play or what items you play with.

There's a maturity issue too. It is possible to play to win and enjoy doing so, thereby being respectful in victory. I play for BP more than anything, and in fact any actual crazy game full of laughs was had where I ultimately let them all escape via a slug race, yet still got around 200k BP. I've "won" trials decisively and not earnt nearly as much!

Take the games as is, but always treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. As you say, it is just a game and those on the other end have jobs, hobbies, partners, problems, and a whole lot of other aspects which makes them unique and full individuals.

Don't play to win and you'll always have fun. When winning becomes a bonus to trying out a new build, practicing a particular strategy, or just screwing with the opposition, you have a lot more fun and get a lot more gratification out of games. Especially ones you don't win.

Standing in a corner or on top of a building is great fun especially with lightborn as that infuriates them even more.

Nothing beats the survivors desperately trying to get you engage.

Jumping In and out lockers leaping pallets. Sad sad sad little people. Just leave.

I normally mute the sound and do something else. Trust me they'll get bored before I will.

Play for hooks with a killer you like. Don't worry about a win or loss.
