Remote hooking faster than DS??? WHY?

Is there a reason as to why remote hooking works faster than DS? Do the devs want everyone to uninstall? What is this game even anymore? Except for an absolute joke of itself.

I know with flashlights, it's because of the new way flashy saves work. Since the anti-clicking update, flashlight blinds before the animation is done (within 1/4 second) immediately stun the killer. The stun goes off on the frame when the killer would regain control, so they never get the chance to get the auto hook off.

Must be a one off, none of my DS have missed before the remote hook.

Remote hook is (was?) faster than Power Struggle as well

It was less than the first one, but yeah, the remote hooking was pretty quick

so apparently if you spammed q or whichever your input button was for remote-hooking you could hook faster than DS, and the other actions as others have mentioned. Which is just sad.

I know, but BHVR tends to bring back certain event mechanics, and this one sure needs tuning. Because I can't imagine it was intended to work faster than certain perks did.

I never had an issue, never saw DS not work this event either. It wasn't faster than DS. It WAS overtuned and probably should have some limitation if and when it comes back… because we all know it's probably gonna return in some way if not next Masquerade, then certainly as a perk or something.

    The answer is very simple.

Remote hook was instant (once picked).

DS needs the wheel to spin to the designated area.

The killer had that brief window to press remote hook and interrupt it.

It's not like this will come permamently in the game. And the event is over. Why write this now? And not while the event was up?

I understand your frustration. Did you switch out DS with for example Off the record?

If you know very well DS didn't work in the event, why did you still use it and get more frustrated over the remote hooking?

For another event like this BHVR should do a poll if people would like to have the remotehook back or not. Or make changes to it to have DS and PS work against it. Then the problem might be solved if they did work against it.
