can we make flashlight saves a conspicuous action?
survivor gets unhooked so i go after unhooker, to not tunnel right? also to avoid ds, i get the down, and the unhooked survivor runs over with background and throws a flashbang and gets the save, even though i was looking at a wall,
ok so then i go after the survivor who flashlight stunned me, get the down, pick up, and get hit by decisive strike, and they go to a strong structure.
now tell me, is that still tunneling? and that flashlight saves, not stuns should be a conspicuous action?

As long as it is only flashlight save and not using the flashlight in general, I'd be okay with that. Sabo saves count as a conspicuous action so I don't see how a flashlight save is any different.
You're not being tunnelled and are punishing the killer for not tunnelling, so I think this would be fair.

I agree with this. Make it so that stunning the killer with a flashlight counts as a conspicuous action.
If the killer went after the unhooker, then they are going out of their way to not tunnel. Thus, if the unhooked survivor chooses to forgo safety to rescue the unhooker, then it's fair for the survivor to lose the safety of their anti-tunnel perks. It both rewards the killer for not tunneling, while creating a high-risk, high-reward situation for the unhooked survivor.

My initial thought reading the title was "flashlights aren't a strong item anyway, they don't need this nerf".
After reading your thread, it's hard to argue with the logic... and as I thought about it more... what could be more conspicuous than shining a flashlight in the killers face to save a teammate? XD

I feel like we need to make it more clear to some killer players that applying map pressure means leaving a hook instead.
Because, from your own description, you went back to hook where you know there were two survivors, you got two downs in under 60 seconds, and you're asking for nerfs?
They had the exact one thing that could save them in that scenario, which, since this is a hot topic too right now, took two perk slots, gen and locker time, and player timing to pull off. And even that assumes you didn't slug both of them before hand.
If they didn't have that exact setup, the killer should just get two hooks in under a minute for leashing back to the unhook instantly? We have no reason to make 'going back to hook' even more rewarding than it already is.

I’m honestly surprised that it isn’t considered conspicuous 🥸

being fully healed should also count as conspicuous action for that matter.
if you actually got time to stand afk for whatever time to be healed, you no longer need your OTR and DS.
they can buff antitunnel perks however much they want, but only if they make them extremely difficult or nigh impossible to weaponize.
yeah, survivor can't do gens with OTR and DS, guess what they do instead? Get healed and go bodyblock for their teammate, killer cannot afford to aggro on them, so they're completely safe to take a hit and leave or even take both hits to just get slugged (killer still cant pick them up bc of DS and will be forced to either guard the slug, losing more pressure than they gained and waiting out DS, meaning they can't tunnel after the next unhook, or let survivors pick them up for free).
And, if im not mistaken, doing secondary objectives related to killers' powers doesn't count as conspicuous action either. So otherwise useless on gens survivor can now print new EMPs or place turrets or carry Onryo's tapes to remove her TVs and still remain very much useful for their team while keeping all the supposed anti tunnel protections.
