New Matchmaking Sucks

Ok the ONLY good thing about this new system is that I'm consistently getting lobbies after like 10 seconds, but that's it, everything else about it sucks and isn't worth the update. Sure I'm getting them consistently, but I'm getting 200+ ping lobbies 9 out of 10 times leading to LONGER time wasted trying to find a lobby that I can actually play in rather than wait 30 seconds to find a lobby and have decent ping. In addition I'm getting ranked with rank 2's and rank 17's when I'm a rank 12 and I shouldn't be pared with that wide of a range at all. You really need to revert the old way back because this new one sucks and it literally makes the game unplayable and way more annoying to find games. I understand what you were trying to do, but the result is not worth it.

I play on Xbox and so far every single thing about it is worse.

I USED to get into lobbies in 10 seconds. Now I wait about a minute and still get people with ass ping. Still have the same old 3 man problem where if someone exits out it like causes a bug and that slot never gets filed unless someone ELSE quits too. Not to mention the ranking is broken as hell like you said. Seeing newb ranks going up against high ranker killers all day....

The real goal of the new MM was to hide SWF. So they don't get dodged.

Yep this matchmaking is garbage, we're having ALL the same issues as when they tested it last time and none of them are remotely better.

This may single handedly kill the game if they don't revert it because waiting half an hour for a killer lobby while 700 ping players from across the globe enter and leave my lobby is ridiculous.

I think they went with Quantity over quality in terms of matches because of the slow wait times. Personally I'd rather wait and have a good game then more laggy games.

for me the queue times are all fine ..

thing is like 3/5 games are against killers that are a lot lower ranked than me ... obviously i had a pretty easy game.

    for example:

i was in a duo with my rank7 friend - me at rank 3 we get a rank 18 killer... as a rank 7+3 duo

edit: forgot to mention that the 2 randoms usually were higher rank than the killer too. for whatever reason.

Some of the matches I had within the last 2 hours.

i am actually fine with the new mm, dodging swf had never been easier if you know the telltale signs. and i can imagine the amount of salt in them when i leave the 30 ms lobby.

this could all have been avoidable with a swf checkmark for killers, i am sure plenty dont mind and want to host swf. but hiding and forcing wont work out in the long run.

You do know everyone joins at the same time in the lobby now, right? I hope that wasn`t one of your tales. Other than matching outfits or names, what are their tales btw? Asking for a friend :)

I am not explicitly saying this to you, but so many killers have started to dodge, just because survivors join at the same time, it is getting annoying.

You know normally I think you come up with some wild conspiracies wolf but in this case I believe you are 100% correct.

Naturally SWF have abused this as much as possible. Every game its just multiple purple flashlights, DS and more tbags than China.

I could be mistaken, but viewing a players profile and looking over their friends list is still a 'tale'. All/some private easy dodge. See same players in lobby on friends list easy dodge.

Note: Dodging is a waste of time in the long run. Better to go after'em with all you got and have some fun.

Just adding my two cents, unless they recently blocked player profiles from being accessible in a lobby the information I provided should be accurate.

Have you tried playing as a Killer! you have to wait 3-6 minutes to create a lobby, then you get 4 survivors all at once with bad ping, then they all leave.

I waited for 20 different survivors coming in and leaving and then I get an Error at the end!

Twice I had that, took me about 20 minutes to have my first game!

I think the new Lobby system is horrible, the graphic became less than ever and even tho the game became slower some how!!

The matchmaking system is a suck. Staying waiting to find room, even more playing killer is very annoying. The Behavior needs to go back with the old system, or at least let the killers instinctively create rooms again.

4 min before the lobby even opens up?

    Really?

In 4 min my lobby usually already started before the change.

Rank 1 killer, my lobby times are lower on average, assuming I don't have a bunch of survivors dodging the lobby. The problem is, all my survivors are rank 10 or lower, so whats the point of even playing the game, all that's going to happen is I'll crush them in 5 minutes, and have to que up again, and neither I nor the survivors are going to have fun.

pics from some of my games. I'm still rank 1 following ranking changes, but thats mostly due to this wonderful matchmaking. I have yet to see a game with more than 2 red rank survivors in it since the patch, and I've played 30+ games. These games are about average for what I see, rank-wise.

I wanna know what was going through the dev’s heads when they thought of increasing the already long matchmaking time.
