Entitled survivors DCing against killers they don't like with steam names like "plague = DC"
For the entity's sake. It takes 5+ mins to get a match as killer. I am afk and waiting for the game to start to realise that 3 survivors immediately DC after I loaded into the match. They had steam names like "Plague or Legion = DC". This is unacceptable.
Disconnecting and rage DCing is still not being punished and those entitled survivors ruin our gaming experience. I payed for this DLC, ffs I want to be able to play it!
Also, please refund addons and offerings if one survivors disconnects. It's annoying to lose purple/green addons and survivor pudding.

DCs are a symptom of an issue. Bans are just a palliative. They fix the symptom, not the issue.
You ban people, you don't fix the issue, simple.
Find out what the issue is, why are people dc'ing and fix that instead.

If you're using survivor pudding just farm lol at least you'll get your points worth.
If you use an escape cake as a survivor and a killer decides to tunnel the ######### out of you and camp you and you end up with 3k points now THAT'S a loss.

But you can't fix a players 12 year old mind that thinks i will always DC when i want to. Only solution: harder and additional punishments like increased timeouts and stuff, most of other more popular games have those mechanics. When a player still keeps DCing he doesn't want to play the game.

Play those killers exclusively and make them DC more to the point that they get banned, just like they deserve.

If someone has in their name that they're gonna DC for a certain killer, they should get punished for that. DCing is against the rules, after all, and them having that in their name is basically admitting to breaking the rules. It's like someone posting something they stole on Facebook, admitting that they stole it on video.

Honestly I'm planning on writing an article that basically implies, "Please keep dcing in the games I play so at some point in time, I don't have to put up with you anymore."

@Claudette_Baguette If you see names like that in the lobby you can dodge the lobby. Killers lobby dodge for less.

Not with these new wait times they don't. A lot of them even deal with red ping survivors just because they don't want to get back in line for their own lobby.

@EntityDispleased That's likely why we will never see them be super strict on DCs...
If its so common that all of us run into it constantly the playerbase would take a huge hit.
They should stop banning and instead add a matchmaking penalty. Like 1 dc=5 minutes before you can queue and keeps getting higher until its not worth their time to ever dc.

I just kill myself on hook and move on to the next one if the game is unenjoyable. Also, bans truly don't stop people from playing. I've been playing league for about 5 years now and I can say I've been banned quite a lot for leaving matches. My motto is, my time my choices. If I don't wanna play that match, I'm not gonna. I paid the money for enjoyment and fun. If I'm not getting that then whats the point? Not like I'm gonna get a refund for this game anyways.

The pathetic part is that those survivor don't DC versus the really STRONG killer, but versus those that they would need to change their playstyle.
Freddy, Legion, Doc... not Plague is added to the mix.
None of those is particular strong... Freddy and Legion are bottom tier and fighting for the spot of the weakest killer overall, still people DC against him.
Doc is mediocre and Plague… she is new, but with the nerfs she got pre release the has lost top tier potential.

People who DC against killers the find unfun are the issue though, Banning them solves that.
If you were to make every killer fun for every survivor to make them not DC, Firstly We'd have no Killers left and Secondly and most importantly that would reward that kind of entitled behavior.

Banning people instead of fixing issues is totally healthy for a game that needs to rely on their players.
If they cannot DC, they would probably not play at all. Which is bad.
(Not that DCing is good at all. But issues should be fixed, otherwise players will stop playing.)

Not only are they not playing so it won't affect them but they are preventing other people to play character they paid for.

Yeah, good ideas. I mean, the Lobby Times for Killer will be shorter the less players are playing.
But well... Hard to understand the other side, eh?
Is there a possibility that Lobby-Dodging of KIllers is punished with Dedicated Servers? Getting dodged like 5 times in a row (which is not frequent, but can happen...record is 11 times for me, even if I might not be the reason) is not fun at all.

I'm already making a list on the first 10 games I have against Plague. I've already had at least 3 disconnects in the span of just three games. In one of the games, one of the survivors gave up. (Sacrificed the first time on hook) So far it seems like some people aren't having fun against her.

That's just narrow minded thinking
I for example, do not like to play against Legion.
Can I? Absolutely
Is it enjoyable? Have yet to have an enjoyable match against Legion
Will I DC against Legion? 9/10 times yes
Not everyone is bad just because they DC, some people don't like being camped, some don't like being tunneled, and some people don't like to play against certain killers, however whether or not they DC is up to them. Just like how killers hate their totems being destroyed quickly, or survivors having certain items and perks equipped, or just playing with friends toxic or not. Killers have DCed for such reasons.
Give it some thought, before jumping to the "they are just bad" ship. Is there any reason why people hate a certain perk or killer?
Both sides are at fault. Everyone has a certain something they hate to go against, it's just a matter of handling it, and instead of getting mad and being toxic towards the person playing, I choose to leave. Only problem is, then the killer gets toxic "Wow DC LMAO ur trash git gud"... But that's just how it is I guess.
Can't solve everyone's issues.

@Claudette_Baguette Then you're out of luck, getting points as killer is way easier than on survivor. There's been instances where the killer DCs after seeing 2/3 BPS (which is so stupid cause he could've gotten way more points).
Plus I feel like killers get more puddings than survivors get cakes, in my experience at least.

LOL in the scenario you described they were wrong for dcing, but sadly I feel like dcing is justified in other cases. If I get tunneled from the hook, I am dcing, Why? Cause what's the point of playing the game then? People who camp and tunnel are just as bad as people who dc, why not ######### about them as well? Also why do you play with survivors with those name tags? Just search another lobby.
