Will the hotfix be out today?
See the title. The gen bug is a big deal regarding the trials, so will this be getting resolved?

I hope 2v8 is delayed until the hotfix happens, because the generator bug is extreme enough that there’s no point in playing this game while it’s still happening.

No delays I have waited 2vs8 long enough. You just have to sweat more with the bug I win many games multiple gens left so it's not big issue for me. T

No, the game is unplayable now. When entire generators can be instantly auto-repaired from 0% to 100%, the game balance doesn't exist anymore. I've witnessed streamers purposely not complete a 4th generator until a teammate dies (as in sometimes they purposely leave the 4th generator at 99% until a teammate dies), so they can bypass the 5th generator completely.
And it would be worse in 2v8, since there are more survivors in the game that could trigger the bug.

This is really disappointing, but not surprising. As long as there are plenty of people still willing to play the game (especially killers), then it seems like there's no urgency to fix bugs, even game-breaking ones like the auto gen completion bug. Guess I'm just going to have to play something else for a while.
If you're a killer player, there is no reason for you to be playing the game right now.

Every time I've connected to the game this past week, the incentive for killer was 100% and the queue instant.
I feel like many aren't playing. (And I've played very few matches as killer myself.)

I strongly doubt the lack of a fix for the gen bug has anything to do with who it benefits - it's either because they've allocated too many resources to getting 2v8 out on time, or because they haven't figured it out. So I'm more curious about how badly they've broken the game (and how bad the spaghetti code tangle is) that they don't have a working fix yet.
Because I've gotta admit, driving an invisible car off the edges of the map in Borgo while Wesker gets one of your teammates stuck in the floor and another survivor continues to repair gens after exit gates are powered is the most interesting I've ever seen the state of this game.

We'll be releasing our Hotfix 1 tomorrow! The update will address some known issues including players not correctly receiving the Endurance status effect, and the generator count being reduced when a Survivor leaves the tally screen whilst the Trial is ongoing. Thanks for your patience while the information was confirmed.

I had survivor bonus yesterday late afternoon, did not pay attention the other days though.
In the evening it's usually on Killer, but that is nothing new.

Imagine if there was a feature - sorry bug that when the survivors did a gen it took away a health state, how fast thatd be fixed.

please do not insinuate that bugs are fixed with relation to what side is affected. As most people are very much aware there's also a pretty severe survivor bug right now with Endurance also - both bugs are unfortunate and both sides are affected.

Except that bug from what I have seen only affects dead hard so its easily avoidable. I run sprintburst and lithe and never have been affected by it.
Maybe BHVR should look into why such catastrophic bugs can happen in the first place. The bugs in this game are insane. For a bug like this the game should be rolled back to the previous version which didnt have it. It might build faith from the community, instead everyones scared of what will break even on the smallest of patches.

There is no way that this would have been tested before. How would you even test it? Do you really think it is reasonable to test if the Gen Count gets messed up when in e regular game a Survivor leaves the tally screen after being sacrificed?

No but as I said, how does this even happen? What actually caused it if gens werent touched, how and why are things linked like this? And as I said, for something as big as this the update should be rolled back.

The bug might not happen in 2vs8 and fix was said to be coming today. It has been issue for me in couple games but most games have been fine. I calculate hours now to 2vs8 so I can't wait any longer.

Again, the US vs them is tiresome at best.
But there was a bug that was equivalent to this. Merciless storm was triggering and deleting entire gens progress for correctly hitting the skill check. That perk was never kill switched, and the bug took about 2 months to fix.
So I'd say that trading an extra gen progress for literally killing off a survivor is nowhere near as severe as survivors having to do 10 gens every match for free. If we're gonna go that route.

I really want to believe that bugs being fixed has no relation to what side is affected, but as a Knight player, the history of this killer just shows me that is not true.
- Knight gets a bug that makes guards not go through pallets but around them. Bug has been there, reported and acknowledged for an entire year i think. It helps survivors. Never fixed.
- Knight gets a bug that makes him able to grab survivors with his power. It helps the killer. Knight gets inmediately killswitched for an entire month. The bug is fixed (fun fact, on this month, the other bugs didnt even got fixed).
- Knight gets a bug in PTB that makes him able to cancel his guard with another guard. It actually gets very well received by Knight players. It helps the killer. Bug is fixed for release.
- Knight gets a bug that makes survivors able to "deceive" the guards by just walking near a pallet/window (it was a bug, never mentioned in patch notes). It helps the survivors. Bug is suddenly turned into a feature.
And im pretty sure im missing some other bugs that are bad for the killer that are still not fixed.

It does not only effect DH. I unhooked a team mate in endgame and they were downed again immediately and they did not have DH, I checked their perks
