Do you have to put the codes in on your Switch though? Or can you use them on your new platform without bothering with the Switch?

I'm not sure. But I assumed it probably wouldn't work, so I didn't try the code on PC. Cosmetics do transfer from the Switch to elsewhere though, so it's all good.
I only used the code to unlock his trousers, since I'd already unlocked the other two cosmetics as Twitch drops. I haven't checked if the last cosmetic is available on my Steam account, but the complete set is all there on my Switch account. I'll let you guys know if the cosmetic unlocked with the code isn't on Steam but I don't imagine it won't be there.

I can confirm it won’t activate if typed on steam but will transfer instantly and seamlessly over when typed into Switch and the when you go back into the game on Steam ☺️✨
