Is anyone else constantly crashing on Playstation 4 since Tuesday's Update?
I bought the game on the PS4 early Tuesday to cross-progress my Switch account and prior to the 8.1.1 update, I had no issues playing.
Afterwards, the game started to crash at random times and give me the same error.
I just tried reinstalling the game and it crashed as I was at the loading screen for a Custom Match against bots.
My DC penalties are stacking and I'm so nervous.

Does it happen with any other games? Is your PS4 used or refurbished? Those could be factors. I hope the issue goes away. It seems that no matter how hard you try to play the game something keeps stopping you.

I only have one other game which is single player and it doesn't happen with that. I'm the original owner, I bought it in 2018, played it a few times and then didn't touch it again. I just hooked it back up for DBD.

Yeah, everything is up to date. I am lucky to get one or two custom games in before it happens again. I've had to stop playing regular matches because of the DC penalties I'm getting.
I just set my ps4 up to play this game since I used cross-progression to transfer off switch. I am devastated that I repurchased everything just to have it on Playstation and this just keeps happening.

Have you tried rebuilding the database yet? After reinstalling the game, this is the next step in troubleshooting.
It won't delete anything, but it does resolve problems that exist at a hard drive level.
Edit: I forgot to add, it's better to have a video to reference when trying to rebuild the database, so here you go!

I called Playstation support and they walked me through rebuilding the database.
The representative insisted that I must delete the game and reinstall after the rebuilding and before attempting to play again. So I just did that which took an hour.
I'm letting the system cool down now and will try to play in a little while.

If you have to initialize the console, there are ways to preserve your game saves so you don't have to lose any data. Playstation Plus gives you a certain amount of free cloud space to store save data. You'd basically just have to upload your save data to the cloud, then redownload it after initializing the console.
Alternatively, you could use a USB drive. Any USB would do. After initializing, you would just plug it back in and download the data.
Let's hope you don't have to initialize the console, though!

Only made it through one match, crashed on the second match with the same error.
I now have a 30 minute DC penalty.
I'm going to have to initialize now. I have no data to back up so I'm just going to do it.
Fingers crossed this works because I just spent all that money buying this game and DLC again because of how cross-progression with Switch is limited. I can't afford another console anytime soon.

Edit: Actually maybe it’s a cloud storage problem? Maybe try uploading data or deleting cloud data or stuff like that. Maybe something is stuck with the cloud system.

You might check out this guide if you haven't already. It has a little bit of some extra actions you may try and see if you have any success. I wouldn't throw away the console quite yet. With that code I'm thinking it's more likely to be a bug in software somewhere that will be an easy fix. Worst case a new storage device.
Edit: Did you try it with any other games to see if you get the same blue screen w/ error code?

The only other game I own is The Disney Afternoon Collection, it doesn't crash but it's not an online game either.
I bought my PS4 brand new in 2018 I think.
I just never used it more than a handful of times but I got it up and running because I couldn't handle DBD on Switch any longer.
I tried everything I could. My PS4 is initializing aa I type. The screen says it will take 2 hours.
I also wonder if it's a bug happening because of cross-progression from Switch to Playstation. Like others in the bug reporting section, I have the same Friends List problems.

It’s possible. I edited my comment because it might be a problem with the cloud storage. Maybe upload some cloud data and delete it?

It's too late now, it's initializing but I didn't have any cloud data because DBD stores our data on their servers, not locally on our consoles.

Now I'm pretty convinced this is an issue for Switch players who went to Playstation.
I decided to play on Switch while my PS4 is initializing and same thing! I played two matches and got disconnected halfway through my third.

I think so. My friend who plays only on Nintendo Switch is having no problems at all so it's not a Switch exclusive thing.
There's a connection here and I just hope one of the devs will look at it because now I literally can't play period. The game will crash on either platform and the DC penalties will continue to stack.
