Why is Unnerving Prescence a Trapper perk?

Like…
The last thing I would feel against a Trapper of any skill level is unnerved.
Wouldn't it make more sense for Nurse to have Unnerving Prescence (since quite a couple people fear good nurses) and Trapper to have Thanatophobia?

Because a lot of perks are based on the canon for the characters, not just how they work ingame.
Trapper is often depicted as being a tall, looming, but calculated figure who kills Survivors by planning ahead and with their brute strength. In a similar light, "Brutal Strength" comes from hit raw strength, and "Agitation" comes from brutality and desire to hook Survivors; in a sense, "Unnerving Presence" fits more into his character since their Terror Radius often means they are trapping or looming nearby.
It is also important to consider how older DBD was.
While their traps were brighter and took longer to set, maps were generally darker and addons could make your traps blend in very easily. Grass was also naturally higher, which made hiding traps much easier. A lot of Survivors also did not know how to loop, and good information perks did not really exist, so stealth was considered the main way to play the game. For those who did know how to loop, Trapper could shut down infinite loops whereas no other Killer could. Trapper was definitely not an insanely strong Killer, but they had a decent place in the game, especially compared to the old Wraith.
Outside of all of this. Unnerving Presence fits because Trapper is the poster-child for DBD. They are used on all of the advertising and are slapped everywhere, they have a presence that no other Killer really has in that regard.

Obviously, I'm not expecting any "real" dev confirmed reasons, this is more of speculation.

- Nurse wasn't in the game yet
- Trapper used to be decent on release, not top tier or anything but very playable due there being better grass on maps.
- BHVR never releases a killer thinking they're gonna be terrible (although in certain cases I wonder how).

Because the Trapper is an intimidating person canonically.

I would say Trapper doesn’t really want to hook or kill survivors that much honestly. As he tried fighting theentity to not have ro do those things and is very at conflict with his brutal nature. Only killing the coal mine workers because they betrayed him.
Agitation is probably him wanting to end the trial as fast as possible so can take a break from it. That’s my guess.

Is this a real question or…? In case you are, perks pretty much are and have always been related to the lore of their respective characters. Do you seriously expect them to give Nurse perks in accordance to her position in the tier list?

Back in the day, you could place traps under a hooked survivor, which meant - so long as another survivor didn't noticed, you could be stuck in a loop of hooks and traps with no way out.
Back then, Trapper was more feared. Even now, quite a few people have said Trapper scares them because of always having to watch your feet, and a really good Trapper will get survivors into traps which nobody would have considered placing there. So the perk fits, even if there are many tougher ones out there.
Never underestimate a great Trapper player.
