"Kitted Out": First killer-specific achievement for survivors
As far as I'm aware of, this achievement is the first achievement for survivors that requires playing against specific killers in order to complete. While it's a decent subset of killers these days that have special items, it sets a bad precedent that could be made worse in the future where it's impossible to get progress on an achievement without facing a certain killer, which is completely out of your control.
BHVR, please avoid creating achievements like this in the future that are completely out of the hands of the survivors to complete.

Good thing that Wesker is stupidly popular, and with Xenocat trending at the moment, this achievement isnt hard to farm currently.
But yeah, would prefer they avoid these kind of stuff, i suffered enough with the Blessing Hexes achievement.

Whoever is designing the achievements outdone themselves with the D&D achievements.
Requiring Vecna for the one Survivor trophy AND requiring you to get the Hand or Eye of Vecna AND escape…2 -
you have to use the items as well let's not forget. i died because i used the hand and tpd not very far from vecna in end game.

yeah that HAND of vecna achievement is wild. Not only do you need to role a nat 20, but you need to get the hand. So if you get the eye…oh well. Better keep trying boxes. And then you have to survive!!!? Hard enough with the tunnel meta. If u have the hand I’ll get targeted just for the mori

It's a achievement. A entirely optional, non required, bonus feature. They can do whatever they want with them and we have no ground to complain about it.

I was just about to bring up the Bless You! achievement. I'm currently at 16/20 with two of my perks being Small Game and Boon: Shadow Step (both garbage) and I'm not making any progress because nobody brings hex perks.
It's the worst.

My thoughts exactly. These are passive things that people can work toward, if they choose. They should happen naturally, IMO. Complaining about an achievement just seems silly at this point, like DBD players literally complaining just to complain.

I kinda hate the mentality that acheivements should be something you can whiz through in a single sitting.
Things like this are great. It's feels so much better getting something much rarer weeks or months later. If you get it all in the first week it kinda makes the other 11 weeks until the next chapter feel redundant.

That's why it's called an achievement.
Nurse still has the achievement where you have to blink 3 times to grab a survivor.
It was made at a time Nurse could blink up to five times and now you can't even grab from hook anymore.
What kind of survivor stays on a generator when the Nurse is rushing in with three blinks?
It was one of the most difficult ones I've got. Worse even than Evil incarnate that depends on survivors not jumping in lockers to avoid the kill.
In comparison, simply having to be matched with a specific killer seems a pretty simple, if random, requirement.

huh. That's weird. Cause last I checked you can choose to play as Nurse. You cannot choose to play aginst Vecna.
Almost like your rebuttal is based on a faulty framework

it is entirely out of the control of the player who is going for the achievement

when did I say that? Also, there's a difference between a challenge, or, should I say, achievement. And something that is entirely out of your control and is dependent on what Killer you got matched up with

I got some good news for you. It can be hand or eye.
Hand-Eye Coordination
Find and use the Hand or Eye of Vecna and escape a Trial.0 -
That achievement is extremely easy to cheese, though.

Cheese?

You are missing the point by a mile.
That's almost an achievement in itself so I guess congratulations are in order.

Achievements are meant to be a mixture of quick and long achievements. Other than recognition that you achieved this, it doesn't do anything of use for the game. No BP. No Shards. Nothing.
This is an achievement everyone will get at some point through playing generally. I don't see the problem.

Literally just (pretend to) farm and then blink 3 times and grab them off the generator. Then either play the game normally or keep farming.
Achievement done. You don't need to bother with trying to get it in the intended way.

I got it burning through tens of that addon and with a lucky gen grab through a wall in Gideon.
In insight, it may be easier to "cheese" like you say but I'm often stupidly curious to see the amount of effort required to get it without the contribution of my opponent(s).

But it's not entirely out of your control.
You play enough games and you WILL encounter that killer, it's just a matter of time.
Some of these things are things you can rush through.

You can just equip Flashbang and use that. It's a special item, after all.
Craft and use at least one per match and you'll get this achievement in no time.0
