Killer should never be punished for playing objective (picking up survivor)
Just had a game I lost because they had 3 flashlights and I didn't have lightborn.
I should have full control and agency of where my first person view is while picking up a survivor.
I should not be penalized for playing the objective.
Instead I am forced to slug, or lose the game.
Because I didn't slug they all escaped.
I should have full control over my camera during pickup animation.
Facing a wall does not work when your overly generous blind mechanic is allowed to work from the side, while the killer is facing an object.
Fix this bs or I am knockout slugging from now on.
Joke game design.
Flashlight battery needs to be fully depleted on a successful save.
2-3 flashlight saves can lose a game, this is trash game design.
Battery should fully drain and deplete on a successful blind save.
Flashlight being charged at end game when first aid kits and toolboxes are depleted on first use is a joke of game design.

its been in the game for 8+ years, they know what they are doing, just slug them they deserve it

The only flashlight save related thing I'm against is the flashbang+Background player combo, mainly due to the fact it works despite staring at a wall.
Otherwise, you play around flashlights, make sure nobody else is nearby with one when able and try to pick up at walls. Or, just run Lightborn. I run it with no guilt whatsoever due to the flashbang thing I mentioned and it's fun to pretend to not have it until the near end of the match when survivors finally realize.

That's always been my gameplay. I run Lightborn, and give No š©s over survivors who claim it being a waste of a perk slot. And I play as if they are confused to why they're flashlight saves aren't hitting.

Extra points if you run it on Unknown and with Insidious.
I absolutely LIVE for faking out survivors pretending to be a fake, they eventually try to use a flashlight to see if I am a fake, it doesn't work, and I hit them anyway when they walk up to dispel me. It doesn't always happen but when it does, I get SO happy.5 -
Face a wall, slug, bait out saves, etc. There's plenty of ways to avoid a flashlight save, you can even bring Lightborn if you're incapable of the other options, then you don't even have to put effort into it.

It's the weekend! My favourite time on this forum of the week where the Baits emerge.
Bit too much in a list format, so it felt a bit stilted, but I admire you hooked a couple so well done!
Take my upvote!

One of my favorite types of posts are the 'change this behavior or I'll try to ruin your game via playing by a ruleset that you allow to be in the game!' I'm sure they are worried about one killer's actions in the millions of games that get played each week.
As for the suggestions
Camera control: no, horrible idea
Flashlights lose more power on a successful save: I'd be fine with this, but if we're going full battery depletion it should come with a longer stun.
Punished for doing your objective: You're no more being punished then a survivor is if the killer kicks their gens. Survivors and killers both have perks and playstyles to progress their objective along with hindering the other sides objective.

I don't like it when I go against hard survivors either.

the only problematic thing about saves is that survivors can phase right through the killer to drop the pallet and get a pallet save and i'm with you that it should be fixed but rest? probably not. i'd suggest taking a look at some guides on how to play against pick-up-saving survivors and with time they shouldn't be this much of an issue.

"and I didn't have lightborn"
And this is where you made your first mistake, my child.
Always believe in the soothing shades of our Lord.
All hail to our Lord and saviour Lightborn! š

But as killer you can see what survivors equip before match starts, if they have flashlight then probably best to have lightborn on. Can't really complain about something like that tbh

Just how many saves did they get on you?

I hope your vent made you feel better

True. Also, survivors should not be punished for trying to do objective, so they should be invincible while on a gen.
...I trust you understand why this is a bad idea and why "being punished for playing the objective" is a bad argument

Unfortunaly your only counterplay is slugging there, sometimes you can pick up against wall but you still get blinded from outside your view more often then you'd think, so you shouldn't trust walls too much.
I know slugging on that extend is super annoying to do but they sadly know that that's the only thing you can do, so just do it and hope that they change their mind in between the slugging. Sometimes they decide that they still want to win and stop swarming you.

Flashlight aren't the hardest but flash bangs are a different story.

Love it when the cult of Lightborn stirs and once again begins looking for worthy recruits! šš¤£

Learn the arts of lookatawalljutsu and turnawaykwondo and trust me, things will get a lot easier

I smell a skill issue. Youre punished for not being wary of your surrounding and not having an undestanding of how to counteract flashlights.

Lightborn easily solves your problem.
