I don’t recognize that distinction. A counter, in my eyes, is a counter. If a thing doesn’t fully counter another thing, it’s a disruption… not a counter. I got to the point where you wrote “well Franklin’s isn’t really a counter since it requires a hit” and like, stopped. Just didn’t feel the need to go on reading the rest. We’re not gonna agree on this one.

Counters have nuance, if you can't appreciate that its fine, but saying franklins counters a survivor jumping out for a flashlight save is a rash distinction and saying it counters a toolbox used at the start of a game is just not thinking bigger picture

Firstly, it's a 4 second stun lol please actually check the numbers of the things you're complaining about.
Secondly, it triggers about halfway into the kick so that's about another second of distance.
You get a 5 second head start. You can waste a huge amount of time just running in a straight line, even on a theoretically empty map.
