Taking away Clowns bottles to replace them with Invigoration is such a kick in the --
Butt.
I'll start this thread out by saying I have 6k hours in DBD, roughly 4k of them devoted to Clown.
Gin bottle was easily 1 of Clown's best addon's, and helped newer people learn the killer without needing to manage their bottles as much. There is no way the extra Invigoration haste from Soda and Gin bottle are worth the rarity they are now.
While I realize that his base kit was buffed with extra bottles (thank you for that) removing his ability to carry more, is so unnecessary.
I noticed recently that Huntress and Clown are receiving the same treatment lately.
Buffing and then nerfing their carrying capacity.
My question is: WHY is Clown, a C/D tier killer being given the same treatment as Huntress? an A/B tier killer.
Clown's pick rate is quite low from the stats I've seen, so why is he being nerfed and treated the same was as a killer who's much more powered than him?
Please revert back the Gin & Soda bottle addon's. If you want to play around with this "Invigoration" percentage, please do that on his worse addon's. Like Sweaty Inner Soles, or Sulphuric Vile.
Thanks.

they should keep cheap gin bottle at +2 bottle capacity and make soda grant +3% m/s speed invigoration. that way, both add-on have unique effects.

So a couple things one I think clown is a pretty underrated killer and as far as m1 killers go he's probably one of the best ones so presenting him as weak I think isn't quite right.
Next regardless of how strong Clown is in relation to Huntress which sure Huntress is much stronger it doesn't change the fact that the ammo add-ons needed to go cuz it took away any penalty for the Clown missing bottles. Regardless of strength a survivor dodging 5 bottles but still going down cuz the clown still has 3 more takes away a lot of skill expression on both sides. Not to mention if you actually need that many bottles on clown that's very concerning.
Last are the add-ons are better than they look. So something a lot of people misunderstand about haste on killer is 10% haste for example does not make a 115% speed killer 125% speed. It's 10% of 115% which is 11.5 making the killer 126.5% speed. Now applying then to the clown the yellow bottles give you 10% haste if we add the 2% from the yellow soda bottle that's 12% making it 128.8% movement speed giving you an overall 2.3% speed increase over basekit. Purple Gin bottle is 129.95% meaning you're practically 130% leading to a roughly 3.5% speed increase and both add-ons together is 132.25% leading to a 5.75% increase.
Basically what this means is in my mind is they're only really worth running together as together as they're letting you gain an extra 0.25M/s in chase which is added to your base power adding something like 0.415M/s in chase idk I'm too tired to math rn so I'm estimating. But regardless for add-ons that's pretty impactful especially when you can consider that's on top of also being able to slow survivors.

Having good anti loop hardly makes a killer A or even B tier, so C or D tier isn't "underrated".
The fact he is limited by bottle count and ultimately 50/50 when it comes to pallet, is already bad enough too.
I don't really know which is stronger though, the bottles or the haste.
We already have better slow addon too anyway, so kinda redundant if we think about it.

If the bottles insta downed on a direct hit from 10m away that'd be "skill expression". Would it be fun? Of course not. Skill expression doesn't mean anything. It's a nonsense buzzword. If someone wants to have 10 bottles instead of actual good addons, let em.
Your post is disingenuously mentioning all the good parts of clown without mentioning the bad parts. He can go as fast as he wants, but as long as he's countered by safe loops and predropping pallets he'll never be a consistently good killer.

I would honestly love this. Soda bottle is probably his lesser used addon cause gin is just so necessary. I would 100% love if Soda bottle did the +3% invigoration speed.

As an average Clown Enthusiast. I second this. A buff and a nerf is hardly helpful at all. Especially when it's an add-on. I say, let it give its advantages. Most killers have really bad add-ons where there's barely any real use for them like Pyramid Head (used him as an example coz his Iri add-ons are bleegh, the only real useful ones is the range and cooldown) etc. And it's really sad that instead of re-working those useless add-ons and making them fun, they instead nerf what doesn't need nerfing. Let Clown have his extra bottles again! 😀

They changed both Clowns and Huntress add ons that gave more because they got more basekit. I main Clown and that would be too much for both of them if they kept the add ons giving more. 9 bottles would be too much stacking gin and and sticky and 10 hatchets would have been too much for Huntress.
