Over 25 MILLION views in less than 24 hours! FNAF HYPE!
Since the DBD X FNAF announcement was made less than 24 hours ago the post has received more than 25 MILLION views. This is very good news as it shows the amount of hype and anticipation people have for this franchise and its eventual arrival into DBD's world. This is going to be by far the biggest chapter in DBD's history. I've wanted FNAF to come to DBD for a long time and wasn't sure if it ever would. When I saw the announcement yesterday I lost my mind and was beyond ecstatic. I can't thank the DBD team enough for making this happen. You guys have done something truly special with this and have made so many people happy.
I hope they go all out with this chapter like they did with the first Resident Evil chapter. Spare no expense. Go crazy. Make it BIG while we ride this hype wave all the way to Summer 2025! 🌊

I remember seeing it got 1.7 milion views after 19 minutes, and it's quickly become the most liked DBD tweet.
It's fair to say it's one of the most requested and anticipated collabs despite what naysayers think.17 -
Views isn't necessarily hype, it just means views, if its controversial it probably gets a lot of views but that doesn't mean it has a lot of hype

Yep! I was watching the post all day and couldn't believe the amount of interactions it was getting so fast. I knew it would be super hyped if it ever got announced but this far exceeded my expectations. Its freaking insane how much love this has gotten and it hasn't even been a day!
FNAF is one of the most beloved horror franchises in the world. I think its safe to say a LOT of it is hype.

I simply don't care for it I just care for how good it is in dbd id settle for anything if its good
1 -
this feels less like sharing excitement for fnaf and more like taking opportunity of an advantage to rub this in queer peoples' faces, especially given your previous comments in other threads on the topic.
13 -
I've been waiting for FNAF to come to DBD for a long time. I am super excited about this and clearly a LOT of other people are too. Sorry you feel this way but you seem to be only interested in being a killjoy to everyone happy about this.
10 -
it would go a long way if you showed any sensitivity on the subject. people are clearly upset and for very valid reasons, and this is an extremely tense subject. for me to stop reminding you that this is an extremely tragic thing to happen for a lot of people, you need to show that you don't need the reminder.
the very first response says "despite the naysayers" and you had nothing to say about that. actually, you kind of completely agreed without criticising the fact that he brought us up just to comment on how small we must be. hmm.

This is a hype thread for DBD's biggest collaboration announcement ever. If you're not interested in that, you can go make your own post talking about how much you don't like it instead of coming into other people's threads and being a killjoy.
12 -
it's actually just easier for you to make sure that your threads that you want to be about fnaf hype actually manage to continue to be about fnaf hype by doing your due diligence, instead of making threads that end up accumulating inflammatory responses that you support.
supporting those responses makes you look like you want to be inflammatory. how can you then act surprised when you start to catch flames?

The X post is currently at 26.7 million views! I wonder if it will reach 30 million by the 24 hour mark. This is insane!
1 -
Not gonna lie, didn't expect that many people were hyped for this.
3 -
I knew it would be big if it ever happened but I didn't expect it to be this big. DBD's future is looking better than ever right now. 😃
1 -
Aight so I understand youre upset, but stop trying to bring down others with you. ######### got old real fast and all its causing is unnecessary drama.
11 -
Oh they're real. The amount of reposts and replies to that announcement is reflective of the stats viral posts like this get. Everyone is talking about this right now, and likely still will all the way up to the release.
2 -
no, they're not. twitter views are estimated. people immediately tested to see if they were real by making posts on brand new protected accounts with no followers - posts that were essentially completely unviewable - and those posts were accumulating views.

FNAF is very popular. An announcement involving its collaboration with a game like DBD is going to get a lot of attention. That and I also think a lot of Fortnite players are seeing it because they thought the collab would be with Fortnite.

Calling it tragic is a bit much though. Nobody has died from FNAF being put into DBD. That's what actual tragedy is imo.
And don't get me wrong, people are completely within their right to be upset about it, totally. I respect that POV.
The franchise's top dude donated some money to people with abhorrent beliefs and values but he's 1 dude. His company and BHVR employ a lot of people from all walks of life, is it not unfair to tar them all with the same brush? I'm not even looking to defend BHVR since I think in their current state they're pretty greedy and have made a lot of bad decisions.
But It's been known for a while known BHVR is currently working with Blumhouse for the DBD film, the same studio that made the FNAF film (and sequels I think). Where was the upset when that happened? BHVR is directly working with a company that supported this Scott dude, is that not the same thing?
Or their collabs with the other companies who, if you do some research, have their own controversies?
People give money to corporations and companies that do harm to the world every day, this could just be seen as another example.
Imo the best thing one can do is just stick to your values with stuff like this. If BHVR has really messed up in your eyes, don't give them your money or attention anymore. Focus on the positive things that do deserve those things.

Scott retweeted it right after DBD made their tweet. Every thing he tweets gets millions of views and thousands of likes no matter what he tweets. His followers don't care that FNAF is coming to DBD, they just care he tweeted something. 😂

FNAF has been one of the most requested licenses for years, so there is a lot of hype surrounding it. Some people on this forum may not be happy about the collaboration, but the truth is they are a very small part of the community. FNAF will be a great addition to the game and attract many new players.

You can say it's not fair to compare what was done to the franchise but that's the very reason we didn't get the creeper from jeepers creepers in this game and at that time was a chapter alot of people really wanted, while I personally don't care if fnaf is in the game or not, I do know that there's an equal amount of people that oppose it being in the game but it is what it is, hopefully it's a fun chapter for all
1 -
Scott's not a convincted criminal, I think that's the big difference with that
I get what you mean though.
6 -
This is not true. The DBD X FNAF announcement has been received very well. To say there is an equal amount of people that oppose it is a very dramatic stretch and is simply not there.
5 -
Exactly this. There is no comparison.
3 -
Im really excited for the new players FNAF will bring. It feels better knowing DBD will last longer with that kind of support. I hope it does well!
3 -
Its a little past the 24 hour mark of the announcement and the post has received 27.7 million views! The hype for this collab is insane.
1 -
DBD never was in need of FNAF fanbase to last.
3 -
No, but it certainly isn't a bad thing and will increase the player base by a large amount. That is good for the game.

I do know that there's an equal amount of people that oppose it being in the game but it is what it is
It's the 'equal amount' that seems like wishcasting. It feels like Hogwarts: Legacy where online people convinced themselves there was a massive movement against the game, then it made a gazillion dollars.

I don't personally care about FNAF in any way but congrats to everyone who wants it. Big win for you all.
I hope the map that comes with it is a new fun indoor map. We haven't had one of those in forever and I think BHVR has learned enough now to try and make a balanced one for everyone. I wanna stalk people in a pizzaria.

Yeah the only collaboration fnaf has ever done is with funky pops everything else if from the creator himself with help ofcourse

Let's please move the topic away from controversial issues, per our Forum Rules. Thank you.
2 -
You're free to have your own opinion but I've seen the hate spread about this topic before and it always turns into a dumpster fire but don't take my word for it other people who have been here long enough are sure to remember

LGBTQ+ people being "a very small part of the community" is not an argument for dismissing relevant criticisms and complaints.
Acknowledging that a minority is a minority says nothing about the validity of any opinions.People are not happy with this particular collaboration for very valid reasons, relating to human rights and human lives.
Anyone - and everyone - who turns around and says that doesn't matter "because profit" or "because new players" isn't actually addressing the issue; it's evasive and dismissive; a refusal to engage with the ethics.BHVR chose to brandish LGBTQ+ aesthetics, and talk about the importance of representation, and the importance of inclusivity and respect of marginalised people.
They then chose to pursue this partnership despite that.
That merits discussion of the apparent conflict, and - I would say - justifies expressing relevant sentiments and seeking answers from BHVR's community representatives.7 -
Would have been better if they had dropped a short trailer instead. I remember when BHVR posted that Stranger Things trailer with Nancy and Steve and it went crazy
1 -
Honestly LGBTQ+ is already kinda controversial by itself, if something controversial is really against the rules they shouldn't have done any branding around it, even though I believe it's a good thing to going for those things

Lgbt+ people existing and wanting equal protections under the law (and to be recognised by the law in the first place, cough cough the UK cough cough) is not controversial and anyone who finds it controversial needs to do some soul searching, hope this helps 🫶
