I'm thinking about Fnaf collab
Annoucement is way too much early (1 year gap but at the right moment to make people talk about game) and I would really like to know what will it really be because the only thing we know it is a collab.
Not really a chapter, it can also be a skinpack which actually really looks like it will be a skinpack because every other collab made for skins was made like this: loose annoucement and format - Dead by Daylight X [Name of Franchise/Music Band]. For example: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, AoT, Slipknot, Iron Maiden.
The only exception of this formula is Sadako Rising but in the annoucement we had a direct message with names of Survivor and the Killer which was obvious it is going to be a DLC Chapter.
Would be great if any of Behaviour Interactive employee give us establishment if it is going to be a Chapter or Skinpack.

doubtful with how popular the springtrap concept and vote was. Even enough to get a response from Scott years ago when he wasn't going for collabs. We will see.

It would be the biggest troll they would've made but at the sam it is very possible. Because annoucing this right at this moment is just a quick injection of making people talk about it. If they've made a annoucement like "Get to know more about it in December" I would have no doubts in it being a DLC Chapter.
The truth is people would get what they wanted " Is there a Fnaf in DbD? It is thank you" even in the skinpack formula it will sell good and making it a skinpack is less work and still getting good money - only profit. Fnaf isnt something special right now, more likely it is a formality of adding to DbD universe because we already know what Behaviour can actually put to DbD.

The FNAF creator said in an interview a few days ago that he just very recently warmed up to the idea of giving the Fnaf IP into other hands. Also its Fnafs 10 year anniversary atm and the announcement that fnaf characters would be in other games is a very big point in the anniversary schedule.
My guess is that BHV and scott just very recently came to an agreement for the collab and decided to announce it early to push the anniversary event and also build hype and maybe draw some of the fnaf people into dbd already.
Release date is probably so far away and unspecified because nothing is developed yet and that stuff takes time ans there are probably a lot of challenges to consider that might slow development down.
But who knows, this is just what makes sense to me.
The only thing Im pretty Sure about is that it won't just be skins. The hype train around this collab is absolutely escalating and it would be marketing suicide to just in a year go: yeah heres like 3 killers in an animatronic suit skin, so have fun.

You don't get a collab as big as FNAF and not go all out with it.
