Is Hex Undying still worth playing with nowadays?
I'm collecting all the killer perks at the moment and thought about getting Undying next. It would help with the hex build I'm doing with perks like Pentimento and Plaything.

Undying is good with Devour Hope, because that's hex you actually want to protect and is going to win you the game.
Plaything/Pentimento is not really undying material.
Plaything, Pentimento and Ruin get along well.
If you like those perks, then so far Dracula seems promising. Both Wretched fate and Dominance looks good for this.
Plaything, Pentimento, Ruin, Dominance is going to be good build.

Ok so would Undying work well even if you have just 1 hex perk? Would it be better than what i suggested since good survivors wont cleanse?

I wouldn't use Undying with Plaything, since it only revives one totem for one survivor. Devour Hope synergizes well with both Plaything and Pentimento, as it forces survivors to cleanse and activate Pentimento instead of ignoring Plaything. Alternatively, putting on Haunted Ground, Pentimento, Plaything, and just hoping survivors cleanse can actually work out more often than not in my experience.
Generally, if Pentimento Plaything is in use, it's best to make the final totem a powerful single hex to bottleneck the match until the survs find it among the plaything, sort of like a needle in a haystack, and then wall the survs out with however many Pentimento you've got waiting. How fun this can be considered is up to interpretation, but my totem builds usually don't include Plaything so I can't really comment on that aspect of things aside from the times I run into those builds as a survivor.

I still use it in a few builds. It always provides some value

I like to play it with devour and haunted grounds. Makes for really chaotic games most of the time. Its one of the better hex perks. Its just not a slap on and get value perk. It has to be played with specific perks to make it shine.

Plaything + Pentimento is a good combo, undying doesn't quite fit into it, but it does fit into undying + ruin + pentimento nicely

I love how the killer role has a whole variety of perks dedicated to gambling your way out of winning a match, and just like gambling, you will lose more than you will win.

I like it with Haunted Grounds and Devour Hope. Sometimes (rarely) it can get me 2-3 downs in the beginning of a match since Devs like having lit totems spawn on hills like a light house or right next to a gen. Most of the time it cuts at least two chases short, which is helpful as an M1 killer player.

I personally never cared for Undying. I'd rather just take my chances and pray my totem is somewhat hidden.

It would be a useful perk if it didn't take up a perk slot. None of the hexes are really worth taking up two slots, especially when they could still cleanse both of them minutes into a game. I think they should just make undying an innate ability to all hex perks since they're so hit-and-miss and not really that strong.
