I'm on PS5 and not been hitting any issues... which is weird cause the PS5 version should be just an upgraded version of the PS4 title...
Sadly that is a generic crash error code on PS4, so not really useful for debugging... if I was to hazard a guess, it's possibly something related to the difference of graphics libraries between the 2 systems... but that's just a hunch based on the differences I know between platforms. Always make sure you submit an error report if given an option, that should send a crash dump to BHVR and give a chance to figure out the issue.
Sadly might be a report a bug scenario...
On the plus side, the PS4 to PS5 upgrade is free and all content directly transferable. You keep all your DLC and everything. So if you were ever interested in it at some point, that is at least 1 less headache you don't need to worry about...
Though as someone who have transitioned from Switch, I feel like you'd lose your mind at seeing a steady 60 FPS... suddenly you become a God tier player who can't be touched xD

Yes I do have Ps4, but I couldn't tell you about if i've crashed or not. I've haven't booted the game up since the update. I can see later when i'm on.
You might get better feedback and suggestions from your thread in general. If you are going to do anything more than just reinstalling the game, just be sure you back up your current PS4 firmware and settings to a USB. I'd recommend something atleast 32gb or more for the system files and save files. YouTube has some good tutorials on how to do a comprehensive system backup.

I just found out about this thread I love it,,, I collect horror fiction memorabilia, I'm a big fan of SAW and Amanda is my favorite character in the franchise, and also one of my DBD mains for this reason. I'm gonna spam the Pig parts of my collection
The two Pig figures (big black coat one is a statuette, the smaller red coat one has very slight articulations) are official but I got them for cheap on Vinted, which is an eBay-like app that works in some European countries. The big statue was broken in some parts and needed some fixing. It's a miracle I managed to get the red one at all because everybody else usually sells it for crazy prices
The note is a lovely gift from a dear friend, the small Pig amigurumi was made by another close friend (same for the Ghostface amigurumi you can kinda see next to it in the second pic). Her blade was sourced by a broken pen.
The Pig plushie and her blade, the cosplay props, the hidden blade ring and the stickers (and also the Sadako/Hello Kitty figurine in the second pic) were made by my gf which is an amazing artist. The photo doesn't include all the stickers she made, and she sells them online in case anybody is interested

You can take her blade out, it's pretty much the same thing as the ring you can see in the first two pics, just a bit larger so it can fit on her arm
I have some other stuff like pins, phone stickers and photos of my cosplay but I don't want to spam too much lol. I plan on making a Reverse Bear Trap with my gf for the next con

Yeah right? I fell for it when I saw it in a batch of random plushies; it was like I got marked and Ghostie called out to me. I definitely need a good Mandy plush to accompany Ghostie.

As for the Ghostie plush, I got it from Target, it was randomly buried in a batch of plushies that were generic anime plushies;๐คฃ I randomly passed by and for some random reason I felt like I needed to reverse back to it and oddly went straight to the bottom of the batch to dig Ghostie out. But the brand on the tag is Kidrobot.com and on the opposite of the little tag Ghost Face (Phunny). Go get Ghostie!1 -

Is it just me or are new killers just stacked bejond understanding in terms of their kit. Trapper cant start with all of his traps but Dracula and Vecna have 3 powers in one.
Is this just literally powercreep or do they run out of ideas at this point?
I could be wrong of course. Dracula looks cool, I just feel bad for the older killers.

I think you're right... and I think it's because they are starting to hit the natural limit of what they can realistically do for killer powers now to change up the game, especially as anything radically different people don't tend to like on one side or the other. Look how polarising Chucky Scamper was.
Multi power killers allow them to add something unique to the killer, while keeping it weak enough not to be obnoxious, and buff other the killer with additional powers.
In Vecna's case his unique gameplay elements were the ability to pick back up pallet and play around his survivors items with the ability to disable them with Dispelling Sphere. If these were his only power they'd have to buffed to be anti-loop braindead ability and the items made trash... as is it requires careful timing and prediction still to use, and they're supported by a weaker Artist crows and a weaker Nurse Blink.
Dracula doesn't really have much unique in his kit.
- The flame pillars are like a thinner Rite of the Damned, with a Nemesis tentacle pallet break.
- The Wolf is like a shorter and harder to use Wesker dash with a bit of Oni tracking.
- The bats are like a Spirit phase with Undetectable instead of movement speed with bit of Dredge teleporting thrown in.
Looks fun as a killer, but haven't seem something truly unique yet on him... though people finally got the animal killer they wanted ๐
I expect the Freddy rework to do something similar.

Simple killer design just don't work anymore after almost a decade. @UndeddJester Put it really nicely that they've run out of ideas. The community has called it out multiple times in past releases. I also believe this is their response to that and may only be the beginning depending on what the future holds for the upcoming killers.
I also have a creeping hunch and prediction from all these recent changes, upcoming changes like finisher mori, and some of the language being used by developers to talk about these changes. I think at the very top, management want to move on from the original vision for DBD of simple standalone party horror game, and are going to reimagine the game for year 10 and beyond.
Cat & Mouse will still be a part of it, but the focus of the gameplay will differ from what we're used to now.

Question to everyone. If you were responsible for reworking Pig and could give her 2 additional powers, but they have to be balanced, what power would you give her?
To keep it simple you could use this formula: Chase; Mobility; Utility

2 additional powers eh? That's an interesting question... with only maybe 2 minutes of thought...
Some way to handle survivors pre-throwing pallet and holding W from tile to tile is the main thing I think she needs so that we can actually get use out of her dash to mind game at tiles more often.
I would also like to go on the hunt quicker after a hook to incentivise not tunneling a headtrapped survivor even more.
So picking some rough numbers off the top of my head, I would lobby for: -
- a 15% faster pallet break speed, maybe using a hook like a crowbar (repurposing the idea from my drag survivors to hook and attach the hook to a chain idea for her unique carry/hook animations).
- a 10% speed boost while crouching after hooking a survivor for 12s.
This would mean survivors would be better rewarded for trying to playing the tile and trying to stun the Pig with the pallet during her M2, instead of pre-throwing and running away.
Would also mean we could sneak around to cover gens at a faster click without being punished so much for doing so.

Extra powersโฆ.
I would be for extra strategic elements. Trapping pallets and special hooks would be my personal idea. Maybe hooks could have a little minigame in both stages that can either make the hookcounter a bit longer or a lot shorter. Pallets could maybe be trapped to counter pre dropping. If a trapped pallet is dropped, the survivor sufferes hindered or something like that. This would force the survivor to play more for the stun?

So, I purchased a cosmetic for The Pig. I bought the one that scares me the most.
I decided to play a real game as her with the intention of winning for the first time ever.
I uploaded the video and wanted to share it. The match is almost 20 minutes and is not edited in any way.

I like her stabbing through the hand...
I wish she had followed up by grabbing their hair, and putting her blade up to the survivors neck/chin and let the hidden blade extend suddenly into their neck, then letting them drop limply to the ground as they bleed out... y'know like Wolverine's claw would...
The alternative would of course be sit on their back and place an RBT on their head, then have her messing with the trigger as the survivor desperately tries to grab her hands, that she keeps pushing away until she rips off the timer module, and the trap snaps open.
I'm hoping the eventual custom mori's will give this a pass...

Also on a side note why is the final boss of Elden Ring so hard I swear to God it is harder than Malenia. My mimic is always a sliver of health way from death after the first phase and in the 2nd phase he keeps running away and torrent keeps dying and then I die from the magic slashes he sends at you. Help me please.

What level are you? 130+ should smoke the final boss without much challenge. I think my first clear was around 110-120ish?
Bloodhound Step helped me dodge a lot of bullshit in the first fight w/ Radagan. If you're a melee character you can just work on timings for his closer range attacks. My Unga Bunga first clear was basically jump attack and roll through the fight. Didn't even need BHS.
For the second phase, just keep running and rollin' rollin' rollin'. I prefer the fight without Torrent because you can react to those attacks like the slashes, the orbs, and those homing missiles quicker. Just keep running and rolling through all that until it's safe to engage again.

Elden Stars is the sun ball that follows around spitting out sparks. Though the rain from the sky used in conjunction with the light slashes is also nasty, but I'm not sure those attacks can layer, I feel.like that has happened to me once, but Im not sure... if they can layer it's rare... but uber nasty ๐๐๐๐
I heard in the patch notes they allow you to summon Torrent now Vs. Elden Beast? A nice tip is have additional item quickslots if you hold triangle/Y, that you can set in the top right corner of the pause menu. I like to bind Torrent to triangle + Dpad-right to use him quickly in fights.
Would be interesting if Torrent can out run/jump over all of that crapola... ๐ค

Yes that's where I have torrent the problem is I am a melee build and my mimic is dead, I have very few flasks. It is a terribly designed boss fight in my opinionbut maybe it is just me because all I hear is about Malenia who still took me 15 attempts but this boss has taken over 25.

I whole heartedly agree. Malenia is the greatest From Software fight ever imo (DLC pending).
Elden Beast is crap. I rage quit for like 2 months after fighting that thing cause I was so annoyed by it. It wasn't too hard, it just annoyed me that much. I then beat it with a friend to finish the game, and now I spitefully sign in to Elden Ring every now and again and help other players beat it.
I know its move set back to front now... it never gets better as a fight, it sucks, and I must have beaten it over 100 times now.
The only times it's remotely fun is when it gets into its close range attack loops and doesn't dive away.
Ofc it's hard programmed to use the ground explosion thing, which once you know to jump over the rings, is boring AF and just a time sync.
Elsen Stars is by far the most annoying, cause you can't really dodge it actively, you just have to run and eat free hits, basically ignoring it as best you can and watch what EB is doing.
I have enjoyed sending it to the Gulag many times ๐ฃ

As i said, phase 2 is just run and roll, mostly runโฆ๐๐. That's the best advice for completing it. Elden Star just run like hell from it. Since you're melee you can stand under it's hand as it casts and the run right. I'm pretty sure you can also run from front to behind it to dodge the attack. The move is also on a timer so if you can make it past the first casting then you shouldn't have to worry about the 2nd catching you off guard.
Golden shockwave rings just run and jump over them
Sword attack face with delayed roll or you can just run out of range
Any of the combos just try your best to out run the attack, safe spot from hitbox, or out of range by running once you see the wind-up or any other tell signs.

Just watch some no upgrade videos with Jordien and you'll get it in no time. He does all the major bosses with no upgrades and gives a thorough explanation of the fights.
