2v8 extension
It is really the most fun mode they have made. It's nice having another killer to help you. While the balance does need more fine tuning and they need to make other killers available. This first test has definitely been insane. Gotta say they did really good with it.

The mode has trashed queue times all this month. Both sides.
It needs to leave after this extension. They need to work on it more. It's fun… for a bit. But it's not enough right now.

Only killer because that side is more fun. Survivors has instant quequeas on both modes.

fun for a bit but after a few games I'm ready to take my chances in solo q
appeal wears off and personally it's due to a mix of easy games and the repetitive nature of the mode a la huntress + trapper every game or just flat out escaping almost every game. Does not feel very engaging on a micro level imo

That's the problem. Not enough Killers available to choose from, and not enough for Survivors to do. It's too easy and too repetitive, DBD without any of the soul in it and only 5 Killers.
We'll see if it improves next time it comes around, if not BHVR really needs to think about if it's a good idea to sacrifice queue times for this one mode. If anything I want it back but ONLY if I can play at least some of my Mains. Please, BHVR. I am sick of three Killers I'm not even into, basic Trapper I kinda do OK with, and Wraith.
Plus side, maybe it will convince people that waiting for better matchmaking is a better idea than five seconds for a bad round that either is stomp or be stomped because we're all too impatient, and they'll actually fix matchmaking.Post edited by VantablackPharaoh91 on2 -

I think the queue would fix itself with time. Since if you think about some people have literally been waiting YEARS to play killer with a friend. I know I was waiting for this mode for years at this point. People will eventually find their favorite mode. I think it was an avalanche of people wanting to play as killer, since it's new thing for this game.

We'll have to see if the queue DOES fix itself with time, I am scared it won't.
I also think, come on now, we should be able to pip. Why the heck can't we pip? :( We could every other mode…

It's gonna be funny when the monthly reset ticks over and a bunch of people will realize they never got out of Bronze or even Ash ranks.

Next time they add more killers so you get to play your main but 2vs8 just show people don't want to play survivor enough. Everyone want to play killer because it's the power and fun role.

That would be because there are no additional mechanics or that much to really improve on as Survivor. What needs to be done is adding more actual mandatory objectives. Not just bandaid fixes as perks that add optional objectives like lockers, totems, and chests.

I hate it. As killer, gens absolutely fly. 8 gens feels way too few when I play killer. Sometimes theyll have 9 or 10 ready to go.
When I play survivor no one does gens and we get stomped and theres times no one at all is working on a gen.

Then, I guess, what is the problem? If only 40% of people are the ones doing games in this mode where does that leave the vaster majority of 60%? if we still have the same exact issues where "Killers get destroyed Survivors get bad teammates" on the same person as in 1v4, where does this leave us?
Because all I know is I literally have had queue times so severe on both sides I got maybe four or five rounds a day as Killer.1 -
Where are you getting those numbers from? What’s your source by chance.
Queue times for me in survivor 1v4 and 2v8 is fast.
killer queue times for 1v4 is around a 3-4 minute wait at most. For 2v8 10 minutes at most.
Mandy stated “Queue times are only due the surge increase of killers for 2v8. There’s no shortage of players in any mode. There are people flooding in specifically just to play killer in 2v8 when previously they were not playing Dbd for some time”They had also mentioned queue times have significantly increased. Maybe in your area it hasn’t, but for many it has.

If queue times for one area aren't getting better, doesn't that imply this mode as wanted as it is, is bad for matchmaking in those areas? Surely you don't think it's OK to sacrifice, say, SEA which may have really bad load times, for the sake of NA which may have short load times.
