1v4 feels bad as survivor after playing 2v8
I don't think I can go back to 1v4 survivor after this event ends. Before 2v8 we had nothing to compare it with, but now I think it makes the issues in 1v4 more obvious.
Too much time spent doing nothing. There's less of everything happening in 1v4, which makes me miss the constant chaos of 2v8. 90s gen feels so long compared to 70s in 2v8. You spend more time on hook and being carried to hooks, aka more time doing nothing which is boring.
Slowdown perks which make the 90s gens feel more excruciating.
Comebacks feel nearly impossible in 2v8 because of long gen times. 3 survivors left at 3-4 gens? Game over. 2 survivors left at 2+ gens? Game over. At that point your best option for escape is just trying to hide and hope you can get hatch, which is boring for everyone.
Tunneling and camping. 2v8 solved this with the cage mechanic.
New killers have too many anti-loop mechanics.
Apart from all that 2v8 simply feels more balanced and 1v4 has become too killer sided.
I don't think I can go back to 1v4 survivor when this event ends. I think I'm going to take a break until they inevitably bring back 2v8 in some form, and I think 2v8 should become the main focus of development in the future because the numbers show most survivors prefer it over 1v4.

It was kind of the opposite for me lol like I can't stand Trickster but he was the first killer I got after going back to 1v4 and, amazingly, I was thrilled to face him lmao same with Pinhead, I actually enjoyed facing him for the first time in a long time. 2v8 broke the monotony up nicely for a time but I personally couldn't play it long term.

I agree. It's fun to win sometimes. I forgot what that felt like playing 1v4. While playing against huntress every match got old fast, successfully looping 2 killers is a blast, even if it only lasts 20 seconds or so.
I took a break from playing 1v4. I came back for 2v8, and glad I did. I'm out again when it's gone. 1v4 is too oppressive to survivors.
I've been playing since the Mikey release, and they sucked all the fun out of 1v4 survivor. Seeing the long wait times for killer in both modes has me thinking many others feel the same way. It's sad, because I do love this game, but it's lost it's fun.

In 2vs8 you can expect to win as survivor.
In 1vs4 you can expect to lose as survivor.

Yeah, I want to like 1v4, but I play a game or two and am Immediately dejected.
Let's face it, 1v4 is comp mode and 2v8 is casual mode. Let the sweats keep their 1v4 mode, add some variety to 2v8 and let's keep it a permanent game mode.
Let us use our BP offerings in 2v8 though.

IF they kept 2v8 in its current form it would be the beginning of the end for DBD. If they somehow can come up with a way to sort killer queue times, add a great deal of variety and depth into into the gameplay of 2v8 then sure, but until then it needs to go ASAP.
