Game has been atrocious to play ever since 2v8 arrived

Don't know if it happens to you all, but ever since the last update, this game has been excruciating to play. I'm not talking only about killer queue times (I've been unable to play killer yet because queue times are past 5 minutes waiting). Matchmaking sucks, most of the times, my teammates are utter garbage who just hide and do nothing, if they're not drawing the killer's attention to other teammates.

Killers are abusing lame, cheap tactics even more so than before, but they're not just doing it when they're losing or in a tight spot. No, they tunnel and slug from the very first moment to a point in which you wonder 'why do they do it? not fun, not rewarding, either in bp or experience… why?'

To add to this, I've been having several issues with the game kind of glitching, like freezing for a moment only to come back and have my controls all messed up. Which could be a problem of my hardware, but given that it's only happening here, not on Smite, not of Hunt Showdown, not on 7D2D, then, well… Oh, and don't forget the lagging or rubberbanding.

Atrocious and excruciating are the only words that come to mind to describe my experience lately. Which is a shame because I cannot play often, so when I have the chance I like to play DbD, but it's getting on my nerves, really.

Things like slugging should really only be brought up when it has anything to do with the topic... This update has 0 to do with survivor or killer behavior.

As for queue times... 2v8 is VERY popular. It's a real suffer from success situation. You have alot of ppl queueing to play killer because having a killer teammate which is a new experience. The gamemode is also basically the "casual" mode ppl have been wanting since there's no need to remember 100 different perks.

Map bugs are a pain... I know there's some invisible collision spots. Hopefully they can iron those out. All in all though, if you aren't having fun... take a break and play something else for awhile. I did that during the gen bug we had awhile ago.

It's easy for both sides. I'm playing a ton of survivor because it's quite frankly stress free co.pared to 1v4.

If survivors want to do dull totems that's a skill issue

And once the novelty wears off, nobody will play it. Great.

Currently in a killer queue. 10 minutes and counting.

You're choosing to ignore the draw of having a killer teammate. Ppl have been asking for this for YEARS. I said what I ment, don't put words in my mouth with "you mean".

I don't think this game can handle 2 sepparate queues, when I saw that they're gonna extend 2v8 i got so pissed. Killer queue times are horrendous

Exactly. I was also very unhappy about that.

I have 3 Killer Dailies, all double BPs, but there is no point in doing them because the BPs will not make up for the time I sit in the queue.

I have not yet have game today where I haven't escape on survivor in 2vs8 even I was making dinner same time while playing and still escaped. Normally when I do escape challenge it takes few games at least but in 2vs8 I get them done immediatelly. I don't doubt the mode need some improments to survivor but this mode is much easier to escape than 1vs4.

My killer games been fine but I play half the time in swf. I have definetely lost more than in 1vs4 where I win 80-90% of games which is balanced I quess... 2vs8 I win about 60-70% of games. But im significantly better than most killers I seen playing the mode. The mode is still fun on killer even you lose that's why it's also so popular.

I think it's less about 2 queues and more about how popular playing killer on 2v8 is. It's not just die hard killer mains queueing up for 2v8 killer. Alot of ppl who WOULD be in the 1v4 survivor queue are currently playing 2v8 killer, which is affecting both queues. They could shut down 1v4 and only have 2v8 and you'd still have long killer queues.

Unlike the other gamemodes like Lightsout that wasn't very popular after afew rounds and thus didn't affect anything... this is pretty fun.

Tbh saying 2v8 is Killer easy mode is a bit absurd and biased, but it's really not the point I wanted to express. I do udnerstand that people can feel that way. Because every game is a roulette, you don't know if you're gonna stomp or you're gonna be stomped but most of the times it's one end or the opposite.

As for killer popularity in 2v8, I understand it. It's their chance to be on comms now and it's actually pretty fun because there's almost no time wasted on searching and you're constantly chasing people. But I'm not waiting more than 5 minutes for a match to start, so yeah…

I've been getting matched with very new / low-skilled players in 2v8 on both the killer and survivor side. I made another forum comment recently about how awful some of the survivor teammates have been in my matches. Similar to what you are seeing - teammates hiding and doing nothing, not staying on gens when they can clearly see that the killers are busy chasing someone else, getting downed in 5 seconds because they have no idea how to loop, etc. SBMM is definitely non-functional in this mode and you're getting matched with brand-new players (or maybe they have been playing for a long time and are still really bad at the game).

I still really enjoy the 2v8 mode, but I would absolutely be willing to have a longer survivor queue time if it means actually getting matched with other players of similar skill level.

Another (maybe even bigger) part of the issue is how the calculated skill level remains solely based on kills and escapes - don't even get me started on how flawed that system is.

The issue is 2v8 is not just easy mode for both sides, it's also somehow so hectic it's more stressful. The chaos everyone praised sure is less fun now because it's not unexpected chaos and novel anymore. Now it's just chaos. Chaos is stressful. Stress causes tilt. Tilt causes anger, and anger leads to the Dark Side…

I stopped playing 2v8 entirely. I cannot get into a Killer game in 1v4 either, haven't played DBD since last week and I am extremely annoyed that this is the case. This game mode CANNOT be permanent, either people will optimize the fun out even more, or they will become bored with it and the mode will fail, AND queue times will continue to suffer.

As much as we all want 2v8, the game suffers from it. Please just stick to rotating limited modes, BHVR. They're loads more fun than this.

People tunnel from the start because it gives them a fighting chance vs good survivors. Forget chasing normally vs that caliber; it's a recipe for group bullying. So that's where we're at. Killers are having to stomp more chill teams because they don't know what caliber they're going against. If they don't use those strategies they'll guaranteed lose by the time they realize it's a good team. This problem will only get worse when they add 70 sec hook times and remove prestige in lobby. Funny how almost everything they do backfires.

Because there's no balance and there's no MMR. The whole game has been like this for like a year.
