Does Exultation keep Add-one when upgrading item?

I can't play PTB to try it out and at the same time this perk has piqued my interest, so for anyone who has played PTB.

does this perk keep the add-one after upgrading the item?

  Unless the addon is used up on use, then yes. So it would keep something like Spare Parts or Suture, but not BNP or Styptic.
