Ok, what is up with all these Nemesis posts??
Seriously, I agree that it would of been cool if he had a better kit. But holy moly there has just been a flock of people recently asking just as much as fnaf fans back in the day asking for Springtrap.

Nemesis got buffs and people decided that it's the best time to bite off the whole arm while it feeds them.
Wait till devs decide to bring xenomorph up (judging by available info and overall community feedback im seeing, it's very likely, not this year tho), all platforms will be filled with people complaining how xenomorph needs a brand new power instead of appreciating their killer being made nicer.
Im glad for Nemesis mains, though I dont think the latest buffs should've been done without them being through PTB first. Makes me kinda envious as xenomorph main, whose power's only upside at this point is hitting crouch tech at pallets and powercrept tunnels.

I guess people just hate it when the developers make bigger changes to killers without testing it on the PTB or when no one was asking for it. I've didn't read every post about Nemesis in the PTB forum, but there was no big part of the community that suggested making his T3 tentacle longer is good and the cooldown shorter. It is one of the developers weird choices they do on their own.
In my opinion, I think this is a good change becauset he tentacle is a power that you can control, but the survivors still have a counterplay for it. We will see if it will be too strong or oppressive when it comes live, but I highly doubt it because it is not for free. The Nemesis player has to work for it.

Its not even about his buffs, its about giving him a full rework with a sprint and rocket launcher. There have been so many of those lately

Oh I've thought you only mean these posts. Idk, since Nemesis came out some players say he should get a rocket launcher because he has one in the RE game. For me it is the same like "give Victor a hat". Takes like this get never old for some people. About the sprint: I guess players want a good mobility ability for map control. Many players think only killers with high mobility are good/strong killers - it is not completely wrong but also not completely right.
The recent changes to Nemesis gave the community hope that the developers will give Nemesis some love and they will now listen to every single crazy idea.

Ok I understand that and I agree he couldve been better, how ever how do you say other licenses have had better adaptations, and then mention Freddy?? Who is not only VERY poorly adapted but has been in desperate need of some sort of rework for several years now.

Good eye, I've noticed it too, pretty sure its one guy spamming across multiple accounts to make it seem like its a pressing issue.
6 -
It is, the same thing happened with Leatherface where they kept making posts for more speed and longer sweeps and they used multiple accounts to drop comments agreeing and liking each others comments.

I haven't seen many. I guess mine got boosted because of a comment?
I guess it's because of the recent buffs—as a Nemesis main, I'm happy to be getting a buff at all. I'd still rather a more faithful kit, but that's long past and would require a total scrapping of everything he is right now. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

These comments are delusional ReFans are just disappointed at how nemesis is he should have been more lore accurate give him a sprint a rocket launcher its just a common take not cause its the same person on multiple accounts

Well, Freddy's ORIGINAL power was super faithful, super thematic. For that reason alone, he's always going to be a better adaptation than Nemesis, because he was at least ONCE a truly good adaptation. But even now, the dream transposition is a genuinely fitting and often interesting tool to use, because you can use it in chase to an extent, and use it for mindgames. It also thematically fits, turning what is otherwise a symbol of progress necessary to survival into a perverse source of danger you have to approach anyway, just like Freddy affects the concept of sleep. Nemesis has nothing like that now, and never has—Freddy has had and still, somewhat, has things that are truly faithful.

Its this … but a full rework of his power is basically impossible at this point, we have a power that works and that got finetuned a couple of times, so they won't "waste" a complete new sets of abilities on him.
BUT I think that the criticism is somewhat valid, he was the one license that got so many people to check out DBD, and many were pretty disappointed by his kit and lack of an accurate representation of his abilities known from the games. The thing with the rocket launcher is silly, thats for sure, but his inhumane resilience, the way he hunts relentlessly, non of this is represented, and this got many players upset.
In the past BHVR stated that on the current generation of consoles 2 Zombies were the max the engine could support, but many players seem to think that with the current enginge it could be possible? Well, 3 Zombies would surely be nice, but the Zombies are not what makes or breaks Nemesis. What I had always wanted was some ability to control the Zombies, maybe not perfectly, but every 60s send them to one corner of the map you chose, or towards one gen.
And the infection has basically no effect, besides a third health state and some coughing (that occasionally gave a survivor away to me, but lets be honest, its just a third health state). Nemesis is also very well known to burst into a sprint during his encounters, and this could work so well as a map traversal tool, just like the Xenomorph got his crawler mode, a runner mode for Nemesis during which he moves faster and could end it by smashing through a breakable wall, pallet or damaging a gen, would be very thematic.
With the current round of buffs it is literally THE BEST time to voice this concerns and "anger", albeit the constant nagging about a rocket thrower will not cut it. But how long do you think will it take for Trickster to get another shot at his abilities, now that his PTB was done and implemented? If Nemesis kit ever gets an evolution, its NOW or NEVER.

Shroompy! Good to see you back in the forums my dude!
I feel like it's a good thing personally. Nemesis has been left behind so long... i was hoping for a bit more of an ambitious rework, but good to see him in the firing line 😁

Nemesis is still faithful but in a more subtle way, similar to Myers.
With Myers, his power works very similarly to what you would find in a movie. Starts off fairly calm, Survivors starting to realize he's their enemy. Then the exposition is laid out when he reaches tier 2, giving a warning that things are starting to pick up, and with the rising action, it eventually reaches its climax with him reaching tier 3.
Nemesis is similar but instead of horror, its more action packed. Even if he's not nearby there are always the zombies that are a looming threat. When The Nemesis itself is chasing you his presence is made clear from his loud footsteps, and his fear factor is increased due to the fact he can break your main line of defense with ease. No matter how hard you try to shake him off, he'll always be not far behind.
Now as stated previously, I do wish he had a different kit as I think infection and vaccines arent really interesting considering its a very small part of RE3make. Personally Id try to make him sort of like Singularity in the sense that he has a really strong power than can be countered by items found around the map in supply cases. These items would slow him down drastically, but you need to be careful as the more you damage him, the more he begins to mutate and the stronger he gets.

Ive been popping in and out as I always do, just been out a bit more recently due to life stuff. Basically been the case since Ive been on the forums, which sort of explains the post count which youd think would be higher for how long Ive been on here lol
But yeah I wouldnt mind Nemesis to receive a rework, but I would like other killers to receive attention first

Nemesis has just been kind of sitting there in an eh state for years now since his release. If these changes increase his kill rates, it's entirely possible he won't be touched again for the rest of this games reasonable life span.

But he's a fun killer still right? I don't see how people can find him unfun enough to want to change him completely, not that that'l ever happen. I at least find him pretty satisfying to play, despite being kind of weak. He's gonna feel awesome to play after these buffs. His weak earlygame can already be remedied with Corrupt or Deadlock, etc.
