Is this an exploit?

I was playing a match earlier and the swf I was against was doing the typical "bully" playstyle where every time I tried to pick someone up they were there with flashlights or flashbangs. One survivor ran into a room and I downed him at the door so I was able to body block it before picking him up, but one of his team mates ran through me when I did and threw down a flashbang. Is that normal? I don't think that is something that should be able to happen.

I might be wrong about this, but survivors didn't use to be able to pass through the killer during pickup animation. But from what I can gather, that changed a while back so now they can run straight through the killer and flashbang them pretty easily even when the killer is facing a wall.

Unless the survivors have brought something like Exponential, the best move when lots of survivors are hovering with for Flashbangs and maybe even Background Player is to just slug, they'll burn through their unbreakables eventually.

It is not an exploit. Survs lose collision with the killer during flashbang animation. It always worked like this.

It’s been known by most people for a while now that flashbangs have absolutely zero counter play and when combined with BGP are a literal free save.

But yes survivor can clip into your hit box when picking up a survivor and drop a flashbang that can’t be avoided in anyway whatsoever, even looking up doesn’t work.

This trick even works when catching survivors inside lockers, the right timing bypasses the blind immunity that locker grabs are supposed to have, which can make it literally impossible to do anything. It's a little appalling BHVR not only hasn't done anything to fix it, but is buffing Flashbang on top of it.

I use it if there are 3 flashlights, everything under that would probably be overkill for a chance of people with flashbangs that on top of that have to know how to do it xD

This is very clearly an exploitable glitchy scenario, no matter how long it's been in the game, and it should not be like this. It makes no sense, logically or gameplay-wise, to be able to clip through a Killer in any animation.

Remove the lack of collision on Killer stun and Killer pickup. There's no reason to have this. You shouldn't be able to Dumbtech or drop Flashbangs inside of the Killer.

i think they made flashbangs not make you lose collision in a while back and then reverted it so i'd assume it's intended now. yes it's not a bug and it always happens - you lose collision while dropping the flashbang. luckily the window for a save with flashbang is very narrow so you need to clear a much smaller area before picking, even with background player.
