Medium Take: Toba's Landing is still a terrible map to play on

I'll start by saying that the map's visuals and concept are creative and executed well. However, I can not say the same for the map's gameplay.

A cluttered map makes it hard for both roles to do anything. I think killers have it a bit easier since I find my fellow survivors lasting less than 20 seconds per chase and when I do play killer, the survivors are struggling to find any resources compensating for the one million alien trees and intestine walls I have to navigate through.

The main building could've been better IMO and it feels "awkward" to be in. The layout feels tinier than it appears. I get that Windows of Opportunity gets a lot of heat from the community but can you really blame players for running it when maps like this exist? I have nearly 6k hours on console and this map is always rough to play on.

The only time playing on this map as a survivor feels bearable is if the killer is a range killer like Huntress, DS, or Trickster since… you know why :)

I hope I'm not in the minority here but what are your opinions of this map?

It's fine. It has a bunch of unique yet playable tiles and god pallets to use.

If your fellow survivors cant last 20 seconds, it's a skill issue.

if your opponents cant last 20 seconds, it's a skill issue (theirs, not yours).

    It's also decently big.

I agree it is quite rough on the eyes and navigating.

Survivor side, I find myself lacking resources consistently as the first chased survivor. It can be downright cruel, but I've also noticed the pallets and such are more clustered on areas of the map vs spread out nicely. So you have deadzones that shouldn't be, and then pallet after pallet at other places.

As killer, I find it difficult to lose on this map. All I play is Trapper though, so there's that…

I think if the loops were easier to navigate through then it would be a great help for survivors who don't play the game/map often.

The lack of better-dispersed resources and visibility of said resources make it hard to play on the map. It's really easy to mess up a loop on this map.

Trapper, Hag, and even Pyramid Head (in some cases) are insane on Toba. The terrain most definitely complements a "trappy" or environmental playstyle.

It's the best level, imo. There are Balanced spots, you can BtB/IW in bushes, the "trash" loops give you a chance against mobile killers, good stealth spots, and the main building is decent.

My biggest and only real gripe is gen spawn RNG that came from shrinking the level down, I'm the 1% that liked OG Toba too

If dbd only had 1 map I'd pick Toba
