None. I really don’t want DBD to become Fortnite. That will be the day I quit playing.

The only real-life persons I would accept as playable characters are John Carpenter and Clive Barker.

    Otherwise, no, to everyone else.

None. Real people DON'T BELONG in games where you brutally murder people in horrific ways.

Characters that they play, sure whatever. I'd prefer to keep them horror-adjacent AT LEAST, but fine. The people themselves, absolutely not.

I feel like Eli Roth could work. I know he branched out into action/adventure recently (Borderlands) but he's a familiar name and face in horror. Doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous af.

Only celebrities whose professional persona is already more of a character than a real person can work, and those are very few and far between.

Nick Cage is probably the only one that truly works. Danny Devito could be one, but he doesn't have any ties to horror so it would seem out of place. Keanu Reeves maybe, but again, not really a horror actor.

Going the horror route as a starting point, Sarah Michelle Geller might work, but at that point I think most people would just want Buffy instead. Sigourney Weaver would work, but again, why not just have her likeness for Ripley?

The only one I could see happening: Neve Cambell, as a counterpart to Ghostface and a compromise for not getting the rights to Sydney Prescot. But even then I wouldn't say she has the selling power on her own.

Elvira would work! But now we're into the 'more character than celebrity' ballpark, which opens the door to drag queens. I could see Trixie Mattel working, with a host of outfits, maybe a legendary for Katya. With some of the cosmetics already in the game their brand of camp would fit right in.

I think people are kind of funny about the addition of avatars of real people being added to the game. I get the Fortnite concerns. But from my perspective, what is a survivor? Survivors are just humans. I don't really see the issue with representations of RL people being used vs the humans BHVR made up. Let me put it this way. There are probably a couple hundred men out there that are close enough to RL Dwight that with very little effort they could pull off a perfect cosplay of Dwight. So they are already "in the game" so to speak, you just don't know their RL name. Does that make sense?

Anyway, to get more on topic, I would be happy with a number of different people being added to the game. My only real issue is having to pay money for licensed characters. Would I like to play as Paul Rudd in DBD? Sure. Do I want to pay 5 dollars to play as Paul Rudd compared to paying 0 dollars for a made up character BHRV created that vaguely resembles Paul Rudd? Not really. I didn't really want to buy Laura Croft for example. Her perks mean nothing to me and the character model is just one of a hundred survivor skins I can play as at this point. Literally the only reason I bought her is just because of that weird part of my brain that wants all characters unlocked. But if they add more characters like that, I don't know if I can continue making the justifications.

Ideally none, Nick Cage was a funny meme (even all his perks are memes) and was kinda-acceptable because Nick Cage is a "character" himself.

But if any other actor had to join DBD, I'd like Keanu Reeves to join. His perks could be named after references to Neo, John Wick and Shadow XD

I don't really want to see any more "celebrities" added to the game (except for Elvira), but I do hope any future licensed chapters can at least secure the likeness of any actors that played a character on screen.

If they ever do a Gremlins chapter, it would be a dream to see Zach Galligan and Pheobe Cates added to the game as Billy and Kate, ideally with some newly recorded voice lines (though I doubt very much that Pheobe Cates could be convinced to come out of retirement for our goofy li'l horror game).

They'd be my new mains for sure (but let's be honest, I'd still main these characters anyway).

First one off the top of my head: Elijah Wood.

    The second was Emma Roberts.

I think what worked about Nic Cage was that his persona is both goofy and larger than life, and his career includes a lot of well known horror films. There are very few actors who fit that bill aside him, so I'm not sure I'd particularly want more celebrities to be added tbh.
