Bring back hook cooldown
Please. Bring it back.
It's just not fun. Not as a survivor unhooking, getting downed and hung within seconds. (Not all saves can be safe ones.) Nor as a killer. It's boring to down someone when they've just unhooked and hang them on the same one. I will do it, because it's easy. But it's boring play.

There has never been a Hook Cooldown. It was always possible to hook someone on the same Hook they just got unhooked from and it was also always possible to camp and tunnel that one person.
The only way to prevent this would be to sabotage the Hook or bring Breakdown (which removes the hook for a few minutes).

My bad. Got it confused with dying on hook.
My suggestion is then that we need a hook cool down when unhooking survivors.

No we don't, this will just lead to unhealthy gameplay, they already took steps to stop that sort of thing with stopping hook deadzones. You'd just be punishing a killer for:
- Doing their objective, which is silly
- Trying to hook strategically therefore creating a possible deadzone in the area they hooked.
While rewarding survivors (yet again) for bad gameplay. Don't go for unsafe hooks while the killer isnt occupied with something else unless absolutely necessary and you're okay with trading hook states.

that would completely kill the strategy around survivors trading hooks

- Well, no. The killer can still down someone and carry to next hook.
- Maybe this is a thing for those who are higher ranked.
I find this boring play, both as killer, and survivor.
