Things Are Rough...

I really wish people were not toxic. I know not everyone is toxic, of course, and that they are a small portion of the community, but it really, really can bother me sometimes just depending on what curve balls life decide to throw towards me.

Just recently (like an hour ago or so) I had a game where a group of Survivors took the game too far and harassed me in the post-game chat and dragged things outside of the game to the point of harassing me on my social media and Steam account.

My dog passed away earlier today, and I made a post about it on my social media accounts since I wanted to take a break from social media, and I got a lot of positive feedback from friends and family… these individuals saw this on my social media and used burner accounts to mock my dog's death through direct messages.

I blocked them and they eventually gave up, I wish things like this didnt happen, why do people take things this far.

I am so sorry about your dog. And I'm sorry people can be the absolute worst.

I'd like to think they're teens who will look back and feel deep shame and remorse for what they said, but you never can tell these days.

    Sorry for your loss.

If you have any screenshots from the in game chat, you can report them to BHVR. I don't believe there's anything they can do about things not in their game though.

Would be grounds for a permanent ban if it was that bad. Should have got all the relevant information and reported it to BHVRs support.

Probably shouldnt have your socials public either just a word of advice on the internet, not sure how they found those out.

The sad thing is that I doubt they would feel that way, because they actually went out of their way to do what they did. What a bunch of pricks. This is something in their being and it won't get fixed without a lot of rehabilitation. They'd have to seriously get called out in real life, but in the day of internet anonymity, getting them to reform is a very, very tall order.

Parents suck these days. More so than before, at least.

I lost my dog in December and I still really miss her so I feel your pain.

You did the right thing blocking these childish idiots.

Toxic chat is absolutely pathetic and pointless over a few pixels on a screen.

    Seriously get a life.

Don't let a few clowns get you down.

Really sorry for the loss of your precious furbaby :( some people take this game way too seriously and should be ashamed of their behaviour

Sorry for your loss. He/she will always be a part of you. People can be real a-holes sometimes. This kind of behaviour is inexcusable.

It's kinda making learning Dracula annoying to me.

If I don't know every loop hellfire can and can't go over, post-game harassment.

Manage to get wolf form lunges pretty good, post-game harassment.

Hit every hellfire, spread hooks, get the 4k, post-game harassment.

Even got harassed for being unable to hook because half of the Chapel map didn't spawn hooks, due to a glitch I assume since it happened twice to me, and they'd keep running there then talk crap in endgame. Nobody really wants to have fun, so it's better to disable endgame chat. The rare nice interactions don't counterbalance it anymore.

So sorry for the loss of your dog. Rest in peace and above anything else game-related.

I really hope the toxicity dies down and again even worse when we don’t know what others are going through in life.

Sincerely hope you are ok and wishing you the best.

People who are actually this toxic over a video game are pathetic and need to be banned from all games. Forever. They can go play Hello Kitty Island or something, I guess.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is one of the worst feelings in the world. They become your family, in a way.

Speaking from experience, I'd suggest you play something else for the time-being. This game is not the best to play when you are already going into it with a low mood, especially one compounded by grief.

    Wish you the best.

I'm sorry for your loss.. Losing a furbaby is horrible and some people really can't understand the pain that comes with it. They are family members just as anyone else.

I recommend playing on full anynomoys mode if you really want to play DBD right now. Close the endgame chat and just don't care.

This game has some real scummy people in it and ive gotten my fair share this week as well while trying to learn Dracula. I had people that sent me to mothers dwelling and hid like 30 minutes before i found them, they were obnoxious in the endgame chat and thought they did something so awesome. Ive had people make fun of me being horrible killer and call me all sorts of names. People are just jerks, so i recommend personally not touching DBD until you feel better 💜
