2v8 Why 3 hatches and only 8 gens done?
The games last like 4 minutes with gen rushing and everyone escapes usually.

I think when killers close one hatch, all of them close. My guess as to why there are 3 gates/hatches is that with two killers it’s easy for them to basically camp most of the available exits during endgame.. be that hatch or gate.

Because it's a casual fun party mode. It's not supposed to be hardcore sweaty frustration like 1v4.

I believe the intent is not to stop the gens or prevent any from escaping, but for a more casual & chaotic match. So many more chases and comboing the duel killers together for fun plays.
Most of the trials will end up with all gens done and 2-4 survs out, unless there's some hardcore slugging going on.

My killer games have lasted 10 minutes. 8 gens is just right, almost one too many.
The only fast games I had were the few I lost when playing with a friend who had never played killer before.

ok you’ve gotta close all three individually? Didn’t know that. Seemed they were closing one and the other two were closed as well. But I’d only heard the noise indicating a hatch closed once.

I'm not entirely sure but I think you hear the noise when the last hatch is closed.
What I'm sure of is that I've closed two or three hatches myself in a match.

I feel like you may have been a nurse I was juicing in a game. I just couldn’t shake her. She was a p100 and pretty good

No it doesn't. None of the killers in this gamemode can 1-shot survivors except Billy's ability and that's only when he's next to another killer and that would mean they are only camping one exit leaving the other exit open. Hatch as a mechanic needs to go imo. It just promotes unhealthy gameplay on both sides.

Trapper can just trap an exit. Nurse is… well, Nurse. Wraith can hide. They can all body block. And depending on where they are, they can still camp exits.

That's your experience, I've personally had a ton of fun minus the wait time, the three hatches opening with gens still needing to be repaired is a bit annoying maybe it should just be 2 ? Regardless I have no room to complain I haven't lost yet on there me and a friend have had extremely good luck so far with no less than a 6k every game, but our general rule of thumb is one of us has to play billy or nurse every match because you have to have at least 1 mobility killer against good survivors but 2 is overkill in my opinion a

I don't know about pretty good but if you are in Europe it may have been me. (In the 2vs8 I'm currently wearing a blueish attire with the split carnival mask. In the normal games I'm wearing either that or the basic skin.)

Because of the hatch, it is almost impossible to get wiped out, so relax and enjoy it as if you were taking a walk. As long as you can manage the matching time, this mode is exhilarating and fun.

Right but you could sometimes have two spawn within sight line of each other, just like in regular mode.
