"Freddy update planned more info soon!"
Where. Where is the info, most people expected Freddy to get mentioned in the roadmap but he was nowhere to be seen, me and some other Freddy players both current players and players who stopped playing him due to his awful rework were really looking forward to seeing him mentioned somewhere in the roadmap but just, nothing. So, where is this info and when is it coming? Because a second rework is years overdue, I'm honestly surprised it was possible to take one of the most creative and cool slashers with almost endless possibilities and make him the most boring and unfun killer in the game with the only players being people looking for a killer to start with or just like Freddy Krueger himself like me.

Over a year now since they first announced he was 'on the list for changes'.
At this point I won't be surprised if we don't get anything for another year. Imagine if we wait all this time and it's another Twins situation…

I mean he was a high tier killer when he was first reworked then just nerfed down (Far too much) with the Twins they were just a slug machine with Freddy the worst I can imagine is him being high tier again and nerfed again. But lets hope BHVR knows what they're doing this time.

Me too since there are no reworks included in the roadmap and we got Midwich almost directly after they said it would get changes soon.

Whatever they're doing, I just hope they're cooking up something good in there.
They'd have announced it on the roadmap. No point in a roadmap if it has surprise changes.

TBF today's playerbase and dev team can deal with noobstompers way better than in 2018. You have to remember how much more dangerous noobstompers were back in the day, when people where less skilled and the playerbase was smaller.
Hell, pig suffered a similar fate, however was redeemed with buffs to ger more skillexpressive parts of her kit! Twins are THE macro killer and they thrive unlike everbefore!

I'm optimistic they've got something big cooking. The Twins rework burned, but honestly I can't think of very many ways for them to navigate that general power set without ending up with a mess.
Freddy has a lot more routes to go down with possibilities, and his current powers, though lame, have a lot of simple elements that could be reworked to make him more interesting. I'm hoping we'll hear something about it within the next two months, but that's pure copium talking. Realistically, soon could mean a week to another year from now.

I thought the Twins were on the roadmap for adjustment. Players were suggesting it’s gonna be a nerf.

i am just hoping they bring back his aura reading. that was somewhat creative and interesting as gameplay loop that they invented for that killer.

My guess is he took the backseat for more controversial killers like skully/billy etc which I'd rather that than Freddy, also it makes more sense as they can actually make money off said characters…

Freddy is one of the most iconic slashers so a lot of people, the problem is he isn't worth buying due to his boring power and situational perks. So the only reason they don't make money from him is because they haven't made him worth buying. Like would you buy a killer if they're power didn't do anything if the survivor wasn't in a certain state?

remember when original freddy got nerfed into the ground because of a review bomb where survivors complained that Freddy was “too op” because they didn’t want to learn that selfcare was a hard counter to his entire power?

He is but it's also not a version based off his original films, I do think Freddy mains are a large minority in the community even when he was at his peak, most people played him because he was strong not because of the films, especially it being the remake.

I doubt he'll get much of an update. If I recall correctly, his stats were on par with the target rate. I'm going to guess they don't want to rock the boat too much or survivors will complain
