Wretched Fate - Disappointed

Hi all,

The way wretched fate is worded, it made it seem like it would function like Two Can Play, and if the hex is cleansed, another gen popping would spawn a new hex. However it doesn't. This makes the perk seem very weak and odd - at this point, why does it even have the requirement of needing a gen to complete to activate?

I think the totem should rekindle with each gen completion, then it might actually feel good to use.

People will cleanse at the beginning of the match if they do that to negate it. One reason I think I never see 2 Can Play.

Continuously slapping a +33% repair penalty on one person would be extremely annoying to face.

Could add to the perk something like "when the totem is cleansed, the obsession changes to a random survivor" or something like that.

No. Your suggestion is basically "make the match a 3v1". The Obsession would become completly useless because this one is either always busy with the totems or useless on a generator and gets ignored by the killer (no reason to chase the Obsession, no reason to hook the Obsession, no reason to do anything with it). It is alreday so friendly from the perk that the survivors have to pop a generator to make the Obsession useless instead of you as the killer must hook the Obsession to make this one useless.

This perk also pairs extremly well with Pentimento and with your suggestion you would make the combination of them stupid overpower: The Obsession is completly useless and when they try to become useful, the Obsession punishes their teammate with Pentimento. And then imagen this in a SoloQ. Obsession players would dc once they see the Icon of the Perk in their HUD.

The Perk is already good because you can ignore one survivor and make this one temporarly useless for the team. I play the combination of Wretched Fate, Blood Favour, Undying, and Pentimento and despite beeing a hexbuild, it is really strong because survivors cannot ignore these totem and once they are cleansed, Pentimento shows up and they get delayed even more.

Yeah. I thought it would keep rekindling totems, but it only works once. Basically useless

tbh this is just a terrible opinion imo and I disagree, but I respect the feeling of this because of how dying light often feels. That said, I think adding something like "when a totem is spawned using this perk, the obsession changes" would be sufficient to mitigate this feeling as I suggested.

The entire perk is just wrong. The only thing it's good at, is force feeding people a Pentimento stack.
