Help alleviate camping/ tunneling by reworking maps.
Before I start. This is not going to completely fix the issue. This is just one thing causing these symptoms.
The typical hooking goes something like this. Killer puts Nea on the hook, checks the immediate area, and then goes to check gens. Well, this SHOULD be the typical hook, but it really isn't. What happens more often then not, is that the killer is leaving the area to circle back. Why? Because there's no gens close enough to check.
When a survivor is unhooked, a killer has 2 choices. Check objectives and MAYBE find 1 person. Or return to the hook for a guaranteed chance at a chase with 2 victims. So if you don't want the killer doubling back for the expected unhook. (And from the amount of comments after games, I think survivors don't want me doing this.) Then adjust the maps so the killer has the ability to check objectives after hooking someone.
If the killer has the ability to check 2-3 gens and get a chase, they probably aren't going to drop the chase they have, for a chase they might get. Even if 2 people are there. It's not good time management. Part of the problem is the random spawning of the maps. They are going to need to work out a way to make this work.

Would help with some but other killers only ever intend to tunnel. They'll walk away to bait an unhook and then come straight back. Doesn't matter if they hit another survivor or not, first person hooked is gonna be tunneled until dead.

Look at the new map for example, its insanely large AND there are loops everywhere.
As a slow killer I am forced into camping and tunneling, I dont have the time to partrol such a huge area

that is essentially what i said in my first sentence. yes.

They COULD give killers a chainsaw-sprint like ability similar to billy without making them OP at all but that would a) involve effort and b) make the game balanced and we don't want that. We'd rather have all slow killers camp the ######### out of survivors because they can't reach a gen to protect anyways depending on where they hook somebody.

Killer has a much steeper learning curve than many give it credit for. A lot of killers go against more experience survivors and get wrecked. Theu get looped all game by clesrly better players, they don't know how to deal with that and some just find better success from camping.
Look at that guy here who said his rank 1 strategy is camp and NOED.
Hard to swallow pill: Taking away NOED would help a bit. Having that crutch to fall back on means these killers don't learn the hardway about their playstyle.

Or maybe remove the ability to loop so effectively for survivors, the game's core design is all over the place. The devs want this game to be a casual experience balanced around casuals yet enable super-effective looping where every pallet can be maximized.

They really don't. Wraith, Hag, Doctor, Trapper are all easy mode. Only one with steep learning curve is Huntress and thats just for being able to aim when throwing
