Can we talk? Balance the game.
I made an account to bring up something not enough players are talking about. The goal of the game is too have fun, but most survivors aren't 4 stacks, its like 1 in 100 games. Why are the devs balancing the game around it, at first I was happy because of the ridiculous power of bully squads and some of the broken survivor perks but its just gone off the deep end. I'm a killer main and winning is too easy now, literally like every game I get like 3k or 4k.
Solutions have been proposed but the devs seem to ignore or not know? I think a fair balance would be to add in game comms, you can nerf every survivor perk and item in the game, but if you're balancing the game around SWF 4 stacks then just let everyone be a 4 stack essentially. It would shut everyone up on both sides, yeah there are strong killer perks but if they all have comms it would make it challenging for killers again and make it fair for survivors because comms dont guarantee victory. If even one person was giving call outs it would make the game way crazier. There would be toxic people but just ban them if they get enough reports or disable their mic.
There is also the idea of giving killers 5 perks but only 1 in each category, that was also an interesting proposal.
What do you guys think?

I had weird idea back in the days. Nowadays Killer have 3 overall statistics - height, Terror range & base move speed. There should be more statistics for Killers like for example: Stun duration with a Pallet, Stun duration with DS, Breaking Speed, Vaulting Speed & more. For example Trapper would have Brutal Strenght base kit and shorter stun from DS - where Nurse would have like 6 or 7 seconds stun with DS. These type of modifications.

I've had a season or 2 where I was winning more often than not, because I faced inefficient survivors instead of good ones, and I did not once say, "Ugh, I wish I wasn't winning so much." So I don't know where that sentiment comes from on these forums. I'm not convinced that's a killer main speaking.
You face good survivors, and you're not playing Nurse or Blight, you're losing that match. 4 good solos can do that, not just SWF. That's why the rest of the killer cast is always tunneling. I guess that explains this strategy of not having a good MMR system, because if it worked then every match would be tunneling, since that's all killer can do to win. The game is so SWF-sided, and so bringing solo up to their level is simply gonna kill it. You have to buff killer at the same time. This recent superficial killer buff, to 3-4 killers who are gonna struggle regardless, is not enough. The gen kick limit is a joke, and kills gen defence alongside the horrendous gen perk nerfs. With old Pop and Pain Res, you could regress gens 700-800% total, and they'd still get done. Those survivors certainly haven't gotten worse, so what is the current killer 'meta' doing against them? Nothing. Rancor for the 1k or the draw; everything else is up to the survivors throwing.
Give people in-game comms for all I care. As long as it leads to the game getting balanced, for real. And please show MMR, because grade is not linked to it. You still have people thinking they were good because they escaped, or that they played better than another because they "had more points." At least let people know what their level is so we can know whose takes are high level-minded, and which ones are of day-1 noobs. You're never gonna get good conversations on balance if everyone thinks they're god tier.

"Game is too easy now"
Not really, you just make it easy for yourself and complain about it. It doesn't make sense.
You want killer to be more difficult?
- always go for 8 hooks
Not enough?
- play with 0 slowdowns
Not enough?
- play killer without power for mobility
Not enough?
- Only brown or yellow add-ons
Etc.
If it's too easy just play Freddy with no perks, no add-ons and go for 8 hook.
You like to play strong killer, but want a challenge? You can simply give survivors free time at start of the match.
So many ways how to make DBD challenging, if you actually wanted to have it this way. It's not like devs need to hinder everyone, just because of you. You can do it yourself very easily.

Let me ask a similar question.
Flip your statement on its head. If the game was balanced assuming all survivors are solo because "most are not 4 stacks" (which lets be fair, we don't know if that is true), then when the survivors DO 4 stack, they'll basically have a guaranteed win.
Is that any more or less fair for everyone involved?

Honestly it sounds like a nightmare to set up, but I do like this idea. It would mean their powers could even be buffed to compensate in other areas.

1 in 100 games you get a 4 man SWF? What game are you playing lol
3 -
I don't argue the thread, but encountering a 4 stack 1 in every 100 games is just not a chance. It might not be as frequent as some may believe, but you see it way more than 1 in 100 matches.

Some aren't in that bracket. Breaking into gtting more SWF's showing up can be daunting, Im sure. But I don't know what else to make of this. 1 in 100 is a strange ratio to use.

this is a 4vs1 and Balance will never be happen

I stopped playing Killer because it's too easy. This is a problem BHVR has created, they intentionally disabled the ability for survivor teammates to communicate in anyway in a game that requires coordination to win (lol). Therefore it will always be severely underpowered and frustrating to play soloq survivor, which is the largest % of players. This issue will ultimately kill the game imo.
In before someone says "Voice chat is tooooxxiiiiic". Voice chat is not necessary, there are a multitude of ways to communicate. A common way is the comms wheel. Only having a wave and point emote is laughable.
I started playing the game around when the Hellraiser chapter released, and was a killer main for a long time. Killer felt challenging and fun back then, but now its so mindlessly easy as killer that it is just not fun to play anymore. I mostly just play survivor now until I get frustrated enough to quit because of how oppressively OP killers feel and how bad the soloq experience is with a lack of coordination of any kind. We STILL don't even have the ability to see what our teammates perks or even offerings will be in the lobby!

We do not play in the same game, right? Me and my friends - not even very experienced - they had like 1-2k Hours each and I was the only that had 6.500 hours. We played like 30 games without any perks and items, but we played for win. And what? We lost a game against Iri Blight that tunneled hard (we had no perks) and we lost like 2-3 games and now I don' remember them - I think it was Nurse and Billy - other games - completely disaster.

It's kinda weird to say that the devs balance the game around the SWF groups when they have given survivors numerous basekit buffs to counter tunneling (the main way of beating a SWF) throughout the years. Those buffs were clearly aimed towards newer/average survivors, not SWF.

obviously your mmr was at the lowest it can be if their hours were that low, so probably easy games, makes sense. For the majority of players, that is not the playing experience. Def not mine.

The goal of the game is to have fun but you don't find it fun and you're still winning almost every game? So you're running strong slowdown and tunneling then. Because against very good players, you need to do that to win consistently and easily.
Try running 0 slowdown for a while to see if the game becomes more of a challenge.

Killers weren't weak, but good communication can destroy many Killers in Public Games.

I would actually enjoy killer more if I didn't feel like I have to "go easy" most games because winning is too easy as killer. I wish the devs would stop making the game so killer sided.

Back in with my proposals to actually bring back the fog and darkness now that maps are tiny and to give an ‘I’ll go for the save’ status icon like the mobile version.
