why does the huntress slow down drastically compared to the other ranged killers?
77 percent movement speed, and needs to charge an attack
deathslinger is 93.5
trickster is 96.5
why is huntress so slow, even with the addon 82 percent is too slow around loops.
trying to take an uncharged shot at a survivor is a way harder than it should be, simply because of the tremendous slow down.

bigger hatcher hitbox + injures in 1 hit. those two upsides are much superior than other two killer's throwing modes.
deathslinger has injure in 1 hit and faster wind-up but has downside of smaller hitbox.
trickster has downside of 8 hits.

Its partly because her recovery speed is very high whether she hits a survivor or misses, she moves at 85% speed for for 2 seconds
compared to a landed hit speed (12.5%)

Or even other ranged killers that take single healthstates in one hit like she can
Deathslinger shooting / missed shot (50%)

Deathslinger stun (0%)
Artist placing / firing / cooldown (80%)
They each try and have some variety of slowdown across the board to either punish misses (heaviest in deathslingers case) decrease loop mobility (heaviest in huntresses case) or just across the board slowdown to make it harder to be on top of the survivor (artist)
Huntress balances her slow around loops with being one of the fastest recovery and minimal downtime

Basically inquire about the the PTB that gave huntress 3 shiny pins base kit. That is why she is slow while winding.

They tried giving her faster windup and movement speed on a PTB not too long ago and she was monstrously overpowered.

Don't forget that some tiles mean that Deathslinger shots will result in no injury beyond Deep Wounds. If it is a safe pallet and they pre-dropped you aren't getting the down immediately, unlike every other ranged killer.

Her power is far more impactful. She can reliably camp from a distance and down survivors from halfway across the map.

because if she can see you, she can down you. It forces the player to learn when charging up could get you a hit or lose you distance while also promoting skill expression in the survivor side. If she was barely slowed like tricster then she would be the single best zoner in the game.

trickster has to hit 8 knives, deathslinger cant down sometimes depending on where both players are, huntress is 1 hit, 1 injury or 1 down, always hits over pallets, and can cross map hit, can has an addon that makes her 1 shot 1 down.

So survivors have counterplay. Devs tried making her faster in a PTB and she became machine gun Huntress.

Trickster needs multiple hits to get a health state
Deathslinger can get a hit and still not take a health state, also he needs to reload after each shot

My advice is to play more than 3 games on huntress to actually learn how to play her before you start begging for buffs on the forums. Huntress is still the best ranged killer in the game bar none and is easily high A tier. Like other posters have said, the ptb where she had overpowered speed buffs was completely unhealthy.

So let them loop around 1 rock or junk pile for 15+ seconds?
