Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Archives Breaks Everything

System: PC (Steam)

Issue: When I open the Archives and go to listen to them, the game instead mutes all volume, and trying to leave the Archives instead freezes the entire game, forcing me to directly close it from the Steam client. I know it's the game breaking because other sources of audio work just fine, but it's like everything in game shuts off when the narrator is supposed to speak.

Consistency: Both times I opened the Archives and went to view the current "House of Arkham" first entry "A Confederacy of Dwyghts" tonight, this happened, so I would imagine it's fairly consistent.

How to Reproduce: Just open up the current tome and go to the third option. This is what I did twice, and had the same result both times.

I have the same problem (but I have the game on Epic).

As soon as I start the audio file in the archive, the image freezes and I can't even close the game via the task manager.

I even did a new installation because the game on Epic wouldn't start (or repair).

(The error code said that the Start.exe was missing.)

It happened again today, but this time the game started.
