Moment of Glory needs a buff.

I’m surprised it haven’t received one from the PTB, the perk is very situational and isn’t worth spending time activating (opening two chests) for a 60 second passive heal, waiting that long honestly kills the perk, just bring medkits, syringes, etc.

The concept is good, it just needs a few changes and an extra new ability, here are my ideas:

  • (Buff) Reduce the chest requirment to 1 from 2.
  • (Buff) The healing timer is lowered from 60 seconds to 40.
  • (New effect) Equiping this perk will spawn one extra chest on the map.

Reducing the total amounts of chests to 1 will be less time wasting and allows you to not need to bring perks like Appraisal in order to make it work.

60 seconds is way too long, 40 is a much better but still fair duration.

Finally, for more chances to use the perk, Moment of Glory allows for one more chest to spawn on the map.

I agree, MoG in its current state is not worth it because the time is too long and its activation takes a long time too.

I've been trying to use it in some matches but it's very difficult, especially when you're facing an antiloop killer who knows what he's doing.

Another health state, especially in chase, should never be easy to achieve or/and free. Timer should go from 60 to 45, that's all. Extra chest is also nice addition, I think.

These are numbers I can live with. Especially the duration being only 40 seconds. 60 seconds is way too much, considering you have to search chests to even get it active, it goes away on downs, and you having to loop while already injured for a minute. Also, killers like Myers just negating it in total.

I think the numbers actually work out in terms of investment. Discounting travel time, which will always be a factor for every source of healing and will always vary wildly, the time investment for Moment of Glory on its own is 20 seconds, the same as Inner Strength.

With Appraisal, the time investment is roughly 15 seconds, which is honestly really solid. With your proposed change, the time investment is just 10 seconds, which is really good, probably too good.

There are two bigger problems with Moment of Glory, in my opinion. The first is that I think 60 seconds is too long, but I think your suggestion for fixing that goes just a touch too far. 45 would be a more appropriate number, I think.

The second is that apparently, I've not tested this myself yet but I'm seeing a lot of people report it, if you open one chest and go down your progress is reset + you have to open two chests again. That's insane, and might be a bug? But either way it needs to change, it's absurd that it currently works that way.

I agree with @fussy. Old selfcare, CoH, and old Medkits showed us how unhealthy it is when survivors have access to an easy heal and how little an injury means for the killer. We can buff the Perk by reducing the time to 45sec and give an extra chest basekit. But it should not require one chest to activate. Two chests are fair. There is also the issue with one chest that then more survivors can run this perk. Moment of Glory is similar to Inner Healing that not everyone in the lobby can/should run it which means survivors are forced to run different perks which is a good thing.

If we go with your suggestion, @Spirit_IsTheBest , the Perk would be too strong, especially against rather weaker killers or the hit'n'run ones. Just predrop some pallets, don't greed or be risks, run to areas where the killer does not want to be, and then you punish the killer with a wasted chase by get fully healed for a ten second investment (I don't count the chase time because it should be basekit for the survivors to give the killer a long chase). If you play with friends, one friend can take a hit and also have the perk and then the killer is in a really stupid situation.

There is also the issue that Syringes exist which completely outclass this perk. This addon gives you a free health state for free in 24 sec or a teammate in 16sec. No wasted time, nothing for free and you can still run DH, WoW, DS, and a filler.

So, the perk can get a buff to become better but it will still be bad when you can just use a Syring. The best - healthy way - should be to buff this perk and also nerf/rework Syringe because they are too powerful and easy to activate.

I personally enjoy using it against corrupt intervention and grim embrace, since I can just use the time the gens are blocked to get the double search and then force the killer to commit to chasing me.

If I happen to get a medkit I give it to a survivor I unhook and I use the toolboxes to further make up the time investment.

Honestly super underrated perk which I hope they buff.

(Also remember to stack shiny coins whith your friends to make the perk better)

I think giving an extra chest on the map with MoG is a fine change however the numbers themselves should be avoided. 40 seconds seems a little excessive because you don't really want the perk to be strong in chase and have it consistently heal you. And I wouldn't touch the requirement either because I think it should require an appropriate cost for two chest searches/rummages. The perk, like all of Trevor's requires you to combo it with another and I think that's fine.

And while this point might be more out there, I feel like lowering the requirement/heal time would just make survivors fight and squabble over chests and I don't want that. Could it be fixed by playing coins? Yes but let's be honest, outside of meme builds are you going to play coin offerings all the time or bloodpoints/maps instead?
