How can people be so brainless against knockout?

Seriously, everyone knows that knockout exist only to make a playstyle ( SLUGGING ) as miserable as possible because this perk has literally no other function.

Knockout was released 6-7 years ago and somehow people still haven't managed to learn how to counter it. For those people who don't know how to counter, the strategy is very simple and consists of just one action:

1 - Jump in a

It's very simple, you practically force the killer to have to use the hooks since he won't have the benefit of knockout.

For some reason whenever my team faces this perk, they guarantee themselves to be downed in the worst possible places like the corners of the maps.

I can't even get mad at the killer when he uses this perk for this type of playstyle because there is a way to counter it even if no one does it.
