If you were to create your own perk what would it be and how would it work? I'll go first!

Boon: Hidden Knowledge

All Survivors benefit from the following effects when inside the boon totems radius

The Aura of all Vaults, Chest, and Generators are revealed to you within a 20 meter radius.

The effective radius on all your boon totems are increased by 2/3/4 meters.

I like the idea though revealing generators for this perk would be outshined by Boon: illumination's map-wide gen reveal.

I wrote a thread about an invocation idea I had:

I dunno what I'd call it but I'd make a perk that lets you rummage through a chest to collect a special item.

What is it? A trinket or memento based on the survivor.

What does it do? Basically nothing.

What can you do with it? Escape with the item and get some bonus bloodpoints and a neat little scoring event based on the item. Kinda like a mini white glyph if you want.

Rummage through chests, collect the item. Trade mementos with your friends, etc.

I don't know what I'd call it, but I'd like a perk that does what Kindred does when a Survivor is slugged.

I actually made 6 perks some time ago, 3 for killer and 3 for survivor. Here are the 3 killer perks:

    Scourge Hook: Creative Slaugter

It's said that serial killers never change or adjust their methods of slaughter. That was never your case.

At the start of a trial, 4 random hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks.

Each time a survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, a random one of the following effects applies to the survivor who unhooked:
    • 30/60/90 seconds of Blindness
    • 10/20/30 seconds of Exposed
    • 30/60/90 seconds of Deafened
    • 40/50/60 seconds of Oblivious
    • 5/7/10 seconds of Hindered
    • 15/30/45 seconds of Exhausted
    • 30/60/90 seconds of Amnesia
    • 10/15/20 seconds of Incapacitated

None of these effects can happen twice in a row.

Amnesia conceals the player's HUD, hiding the amount of generators remaining, the states of survivors, status effects etc.

    Secrecy

You have always been surrounded by a shroud of mystery and secrets.

For the first 60/90/120 seconds of a trial, survivors will be unable to interact, hear or see all totems on the map.

    Then, this perk deativates.

    Fakeout

Plot twists, fake evidence, unexpected endings, that is your speciality.

You can create 1 Fake Generator. You can put it in places where generators can spawn normally by pressing the Active Ability Button. The Fake Generator will be highlighted to you in green. There can be only 1 Fake Generator in the trial.

Survivors can repair this generator, up to 25 charges. They will not get any skill checks. Once they reach 25 charges, the generator explodes, creating a Loud Noice Notification. The generator then vanishes.

Survivors repairing the generator during the explosion lose a health state. If a survivor is within a 6/9/12 meter radius of the generator when it explodes, they will scream and become Incapacitated for 7/12/17 seconds.

This perk disables once all generators are powered.

Following up on my post above, here are the 3 survivor perks:

    Boon: Quid Pro Quo

A boon that was made to disorient. To hinder. To distract. However, power comes at a price.

You start the trial with 2 tokens.
Whenever a generator is repaired, you gain 1 token.
Blessing a totem consumes 2 tokens and gives the person the Exposed status effect until the totem gets snuffed.
    Re-positioning a lit boon consumes 1 token.

This effect does not affect other boon perks.

    While in the boon's radius:
    • All survivor actions and sounds are 50% quieter.
    • The killer gains a 10% speed reduction to vaulting and breaking pallets/breakable walls/generators. This debuff doesn't reveal itself to the killer.

If the killer snuffs out or breaks the blessed totem, all hooks on the map, with the exception of basement hooks, get broken for
30/45/60 seconds. If a survivor is hooked when this effect activates, they will get unhooked and the hook breaks.

    Amnesia

You know from experience how much harm can medicine do if it's used in the wrong way.

You start the trial with 4 vials.
You can drop these vials anywhere on the map, seeing their auras from 36 meters away. Other survivors see them from 16 meters away.
If the killer steps on a vial, it will break and create a cloud of gas. Anyone in this cloud of gas will be affected by Blindness and Amnesia for 30/60/90 seconds.

Amnesia conceals the player's HUD, hiding the amount of generators remaining, the states of survivors, status effects etc.

    Into the Shadows

You have developed an ability to recognize the right time to step out of danger's way.

Every 60 seconds of total chase time, this perk activates, inflicting Exhausted for 5 seconds.

When the Exhaustion timer ends, following effects happen for 5/10/15 seconds:
    • You won't leave any scratch marks or pools of blood.
    • The killer will be unable to see your aura.
    • Grunts of pain and your footsteps will be muffled by 100%

    The Hotline

    Jesse Faden perk

< In light of dangerous / extraordinary times, we have elected to protect / annoy >

This perk gains charges from repairing generators and healing other survivors. Once fully charged, the Hotline will spawn somewhere on the map. You can interact with the Hotline to establish a connection to the Board, allowing it / them to obstruct the Entity. While interacting with the Hotline, you can choose between 4 different effects:

1 - Sacrifice progression is slowed by 30% for 90 seconds.

2 - Your aura cannot be read for 90 seconds.

3 - The next time you are unhooked, if the killer is within 16 meters of you, they are blinded for five seconds, and your scratch marks are hidden for ten.

4 - You can recover from the dying state once without help from another survivor.

Once an effect has been chosen, the perk loses all charges and has to be charged again.

If you're not in a party, you get the effects of Kindred, Visionary, and OTR.

Don't worry, it's still less powerful than a SWF

    Survivor perk: Mirror Image

<When times are most desperate sometimes you can only rely on yourself>

After you have escaped the killer and re-enter chase while injured, press the active ability button to create a decoy. The decoy will run in the opposite direction to distract the killer for 3/4/5 seconds before disappearing. The decoy disappears when hit by the killer.

Once used the perk deactivates until you have been safely unhooked. Once activated the survivor becomes exhausted for 60/45/30 seconds.

    Early Warning

    <forewarned is forearmed>

After you have spent 15/10/5 seconds repairing a generator this perk activates. Press the active ability button to create a tripwire between two fixed points. When the killer crosses the line their aura will be revealed for 3/4/5 seconds. The killer will also see the aura of the obsession. Increases the change of becoming the obsession.

Once triggered this perk goes on cooldown for 60/45/30 seconds.

    Go Already

Every time a survivor crouches more than once in a second in the exit gates while the Killer is within 30 metres the exit gates are blocked for 5/6/7 seconds per crouch for the crouching survivor.

Alternatively, Survivors could have the same perk entitled 'Just Let Me Do My Hatch Challenge'

    Invocation: Switcheroo

Your starting hand may have not been in your favor, but you still have a few tricks in mind.

When in the Basement and healthy near the circle, press the Active Ability button to begin the Invocation, which takes 60 seconds to complete.

During an Invocation, your Aura is revealed to all other Survivors and they can join in, accelerating the process by +100 %, if they too have an Invocation Perk equipped, or by +50 %, if they have not. Once the Invocation is completed, the following effects apply:

    • Heal all Survivors for one health state at the cost of your own
    • If a Survivor is currently in chase or has been chased less than 20 seconds ago, swap places with them and stun the killer if within a 12 meter range for 3/4/5 seconds.

Completing an Invocation disables all Invocation Perks for the remainder of the Trial for all Survivors.

I'd like to see Hex: Ruin gain the effect of also regressing the exit gates too. Like a bonus for it lasting until Endgame.

    Killer perk: Lure

"Confuse them, tire them out. May they never feel safe again."

You start the trial with every totem on the map appearing to be lit as a Hex totem. If a Survivor interacts with a dull totem, the illusion disappears. Touching a Hex totem when Lure is active prompts the Survivor to scream, revealing their location to you. Cleansing all the totems disables Lure for the rest of the trial.

    Killer perk: Short Circuit

When a generator is completed, the next most progressed generator suffers from a kick action regressing a generator for 5% of total progression.

    Cooldown 40/30/20 seconds.

Whenever a survivor with more hook states than you enters a chase, this perk activates. Gain 10% haste, see the auras of chased survivors, and reveal your aura to chased survivors for 10 seconds. This perk has a 60/50/40 second cooldown.

No perks. Just basekit Kindred for Survivor and some kind of basekit Generator hold for Killer.

    Survivalist

Whenever you are at your lowest point, there is always a little bit of survival instinct left in you.

Once per trial, you are immune to the exposed status effect, anytime you were supposed to be instantly put into the dying state from a basic attack while healthy, you become injured as normal, and inflicted with a 25% hindered penalty for 10/12/14 seconds instead.

If another survivor gets put into the dying state while you are in the killers terror radius by any means, gain a 15/20/25% haste for 3 seconds.

    Intervening Measures

You are in need of escaping this dark, empty place of despair.

Whenever there is one generator left to repair, a random generator on the map will be highlighted in yellow, other survivors can see this highlighted generator as well.

After completing 50/40/30% repair progress on that highlighted generator, press the Active Ability Button 2 to make that generator regress 75% slower whenever the killer damages it by any means for the remainder of the trial.

Generator progress deducted from certain killer perks will be 75% less effective on that generator as well.

    I made one for killer:

    Decimate

Any form of safety protecting your prey will instead be the cause of their demise.

You start the trial with 4 tokens.

After breaking a pallet, you can pick up the remaining pallet pieces to create a trap at a vault location, picking up the pallet pieces consumes 1 token. Pressing the Active Ability Button 1 at a dropped pallet or window will start the "Set Up Trap" action, setting up the trap takes 10/15/20 seconds to complete, only you can see these traps after they have been set up.

You see the aura of trapped vault locations in white, a trapped vault location will trigger whenever a survivor slow or fast vaults it.

Anytime a survivor vaults a trapped pallet or window, their vaulting speed is reduced by 25%, and they scream, revealing their aura to you for 5 seconds.

"Use your defenses all you want you fool, your fate is inevitable in the end."

    Hex : Gatekeeper

When all gens are done this perk activates if a dull totem is available to become a hex totem.
The exit gates start to regress at 150/175/200% when not fully opened.

Not like an "op perk" But would be a nice addition to endgame builds.

Not one perk, but a killer perk format, designed to reward spreading hooks and dissuade tunneling:

    • When a survivor is hooked for the first time, gain 1 token.
    • When a survivor is killed or sacrificed, lose 1 token.

Then the resulting effects for each individual perk:

    1. For each token, your movement speed is increased by 1%.
    2. For each token, survivors repair generators 3% slower.
    3. For each token, your terror radius is reduced by 8 meters.
    4. While you have 4 tokens, reveal the aura of any survivors within 8 meters of you.
    5. While you have 4 tokens, the auras of generators indicate their repair progress.
    6. While you have 4 tokens, survivors suffer from Mangled.

    1. Invocation: Summon Glock - After completing the Invocation Ritual, a Glock is summoned and can only be used by the original summoner. The summoned Glock can be used to incapacitate the Killer for 7 seconds or be used to Mori that useless teammate who was allergic to gens during the match.
    2. Hex: Breakdance: Two lit totems spawn on the map, lighting a fire in Survivors booties. Survivors randomly breakdance during the trial. Breakdancing prevents the Survivor from vaulting or working on an objective. Must cleanse both totems to deactivate.
    3. SpineChill+: it’s the same as the old SpineChill before it was nerfed. Oh now I miss thee.
    4. Scourge Hook: Should have left. Must hook 4 unique Survivors in order to activate. Causes any Survivor who stays in the exit gates for more than 7 seconds to become exposed and get rooted in place by the Entities Claw.

    Stationary Movement

Waking up in a strange new place fills you with determination to remain unnoticed.

After repairing 70/60/50% of a generator, Stationary Movement can be activated by standing still, and out of chase. For 25 seconds after pressing the active ability 1 button, you are invisible, immune to screaming, leave no sounds of breathing, grunts of pain, and pools of blood for the duration.

Moving by any means while this perk is active will cause you to become visible again, and you scream, revealing your location to the killer for 3 seconds.

If you remain still for the entire perk's duration, you become visible as normal, and instead see the killer's aura for 3 seconds.

If the killer injures or downs you by any means while this perk is active, it deactivates for the remainder of the trial.

"Whatever you do... Don't move, don't scream, don't cry…. act like your nonexistent to the terror that's right in front of you."
