Need tips to play with Chuckys abilities

Hi guys, I love Chucky. He is my favorite killer in the game. Brought him at the beginning, was really fun, then they nerfed him. Now I do not understand how to use his scamper abilities with mouse and keyboard and how do you fast vault now.

First, the scampering. When I try to use an addon like Hard Hat my problem is, I never get the survivors after scampering under a pallet. Because they just run away in a different direction and Chucky flies straight ahead. Can I stop him doing this? Can I cancel this after scampering, so I do not fly into the wrong direction?

Also it is really hard to use the slice and dice ability with mouse. Survivors just change direction and I am screwed. What do I do?

When Chucky came out, you could fast vault while in hidey ho. Now you cannot anymore? Or it is not as rewarding anymore? Because it is not helping at all.

Thanks for your input guys.

The dash-scamper was always useless in my opinion outside of god-palette IF the survivor runs straight ahead, as soon as they run to the left or right after you scampering you should just give up the idea of using it and only dash after breaking the palette or try to play around it (of course only normal palettes, always break god-palettes).

The dash itself is really easy to hit, I personally always flick onto the survivor right before I let go of m2.

Also you can moon-dash with him to outplay people on palettes and do a 180 around it. You do it by running against a kind of straight surface, looking with an angle into the wall but as straight as possible and then pressing A or D depending if the wall is left or right of you (A if it's left and D if it's right of you), if you do all that you'll move backwards and you have a lot more controll after turning the corner because you never turned to get around, so the limit hasn't even started.

Scamper now only works while dashing and it's almost useless. It can give you a hit only in very specific situations and against "I don't look back" survivors. Scamper also doesn't work on windows anymore and it's really sad. Pallet Scamper was lame, but I don't understand why they remove window Scamper.
Hard Hat was good addon before Chucky's rework, but it's pretty bad. Just as consequence of Scamper is useless as well.
I think S-a-D is pretty easy with mouse. I started to have survivors who are very good at dodging dashing, but it's honestly more my problem in most cases. Same as with Blight, you should flick in last possible moment, otherwise good survivors will bait you to lunge on one side and lean on another instantly.

It's terrible on keyboard + mouse already, I don't wanna even imagine how awful this must be on controller šŸ˜±

No I didn't but it should work exactly the same (at least the moon-dash because it doesn't need a flick). You just have to hold the left(?) joystick into the direction of the wall instead A or D, of course hitting it after that could be harder because the flicks are harder to hit.

I don't know if I'm right, but if you're a pig-main and you know how to moon-dash with her, you can do it exactly like that with chucky, it's the same technic.

you don't scamper. you play dropped pallets and then use slice & dice on long side of loops. his 1 second charge time with his 230%? speed allow him to make a lot of distance in a short amount of time. in term of hitting the ability, you dash forward just enough to be next of the survivor than you press attack and chucky does this little jump attack. you steer the attack during his jump. he has limited turning curve so be aware of that.

the dash scamper has never been useful unless the survivor makes a major misplay. You are better off using it to zone survivors and get hits off mindgames where you otherwise wouldnt.

As for the slice and dice itself, its not hard to land after some practice. Main tip I'd give would be to use his a-d strafing to your advantage; you can combine that with your existing limited turn rate to get hits almost all the time. Also a good idea to get good with flicks.

Big tip would be to use the dash to slide around obstacles in whats called a "hug tech" to basically just have a 50% speed boost and destroy people at most loops.

I've certainly tried that with my beloved Piggly Wiggly, but swinging around the camera is sluggish & feels unnatural with a controller, and the input delay of any buttons or the joysticks make me swing at nothing most of the time when I try it.

The joysticks have a mini momentum like feel, as when you change direction you have a short delay before actually going in that direction. Imagine something like a half to a third of a second delay on everything you do. That DBD with a controller šŸŽ® šŸŽ®.

Ah well, I guess you can learn it but it sounds much harder xD
