It was the DBD logo for longest time because it was only neutral sided pic available. Was going to switch it to the pride bird because it's pretty but then they also added Maurice and Maurice is my favorite so had to make it Maurice.

And Maurice is also loved by both survivors and killers too :) although one particular killer perhaps moreso than others..

I like the icon for Dark Devotion, it looks like a heart trapped in a cage, even though that's not what it is technically suppose to be.
Dark Devotion's actual icon is meant to be the Terror Radius (heart) trapped within Plague's incense burner (formed by decorative sections and Entity tendrils to indicate that it is an Obsession perk to create the incense burner). I like the details on it.
Also I like the perk.
It's effect is honestly more of a meme, but the perk synergies is why I love it, you can do a lot with it and it's honestly a lot of fun. I know that it isnt a "meta" perk, but I love it, it will always have a special place in my heart.

I’ve always seen it on my Nintendo switch graphics as an acorn lol But zoomed in it does look cool! I didn’t about Plague’s incense burner though!
Also it’s great you like your perks because they give you value for the way you play and enjoy the game and not just meta ones!

Ghosties do look really fun! I think I saw a YouTube video recently of someone learning how to play him from someone else (Hens?). I have to say it was really eye-opening from a survivor perspective too!

I can confirm Ghostface is very fun and being a Ghostie Main is fun. Most of us who take him somewhat seriously are also pretty goofy and chill, since he's not the world's strongest Killer. However he has flaws, so if you're going to run him you need to have the patience to deal with his Reveal jank, and willing to play somewhat mean or aggressive if you do Main him. That, or you need to make sure you don't dominate every game super hard and boost your MMR to a place where he gets Survivors he struggles to handle.

I've mained Doctor since release. I love his laugh, i love shocking people and watching them awkwardly stand at a vault or pallet. I love to hear the sound of screams echo across the map. I love to watch skill checks explode. I love to look at the charred face of an electrified survivor after a mori. I love the post game salt, though it is rarer than it was. I love all of it and so much more.

Mine's got a history. It started off as Doctor, since he was my favorite Killer when I started (actually, I liked him even before I started playing due to someone I was watching at the time, so he was always kind of planned to be my main), and he's still my most played despite me technically moving on to Xeno & Vecna as mains.
There was a point where I made a bet regarding the upcoming Killer (Blight) and lost, so I was forced to become Hillbilly for a month. And then I had to do it for another week because the person I made the bet with JUST SO HAPPENED to get banned for the EXACT month I was Hillbilly.
Sometime between the two, I switched to Oni because there was a running joke with my high school chemistry teacher, who saw me drawing DBD's characters and wanted me to draw him. His last named JUST SO HAPPENED to be pronounced the same as Oni (Oney), who would release the year after I left his class, but my locker was still right next to his room, so I was able to show him… "him".
Then, right after Wesker's release, I took a break because the forums were genuinely affecting my mental health (though, if I'm honest, I think that break made things worse), and one day when I was just checking how things were, I saw that a whole bunch of new profiles got added, including the character that, even though I think he's an incredibly shallow character with very little going on, I found the most relatable, to the point that I've referred to him as my spirit animal: Renato Lyra.
And that's where we are now.

Freddy is one of my favorite killers in terms of lore & movies (loved him in Freddy vs Jason) b/c he likes to toy and play around with his victims before he slaughters them & the fiery effect behind him really drives that home. Sadistic and I LOVE IT, hehe.

I could say it is because Freddy Krueger is my favorite fictional character, but it goes beyond that. In fact, Freddy is the very reason I joined the Forums in the first place.
You see, ever since I first started playing DBD, all the way back in 2018, Freddy has been my main. But back when I started Freddy had a completely different power, which we usually refer to as the "Old Freddy", and I really loved it. Unfortunately many killer players didn't really understand how his power worked, and considered him to be extremely weak.
So in July of 2019 Freddy was massively reworked, and that rework essentially deleted my favorite character from the game. Thats why I decided to come here, as it is BHVR's official channel for feedback, to try and get Old Freddy back.
It is what I've been trying to do for the past five years.

I really facing Freddy and it’s a shame I never experienced the older versions of characters like Freddy (if only to know what it was like!) but I have tremendous respect for your loyalty to your characters above all else - powers, perks and balance may change but the feelings you have towards your fave characters will always remain!

Mine is because I'm a 50/50 player, and there are very few (if any) other picture options out there to represent this.

A venerable ethos indeed! Though on paper I’m a full blown survivor main, it’s only because I (genuinely) struggle playing First person view games (the whole call of duty era bypassed me lol). In fact DBD was my first ever multiplayer PvP game (well, except Mario kart lol) and certainly the first online PvP. But I like to think I’m a ‘DBD player’ rather than just a survivor main.
For sure the game and forum discussions benefit from having those like you who have an equal outlook on both sides and can offer honest appraisals of changes and balances rather than the us v them bias.

I still have trauma from Mario Kart. Bloody Blue Shell! I'm surprised that thing hasn't been taken by The Entity and made a Killer, because that thing would strike the genuine fear of god into anyone who comes across it!
