So, are we looking at thw winner? Because the way BHVR are relaying their message, it seems this entry into a cosmetic competition has a guarantee of appearing in-game; therefore the winner.

Well to be honest the devs have started more drama with allowing the haddie submission to win despite being excluded from the votes.

Yep. While I am happy for the Artist, any Finalist who will not win could have just not responded and might have had a better chance to win.

Exactly, if they run the same thing the same way next year, what if people get the idea that if they get the finalist email they will just intentionally not respond so this same situation happens? I hope BHVR are thinking about this.

Devs, please, don't put this skin in the shop. Nobody is gonna buy it because Haddie players are rare and only true Haddie players are going to buy it
Kinda unfair to have all the winners for free in a Rift and the Haddie skin available in the shop. People will play Haddie more if they have access to better costumes "for free".
Don't put in the "Artists from the Fog" collection because they can only be purchased with auric cells, so even less people will bother spending money on the skin.
The best way to address this is putting this skin as a reward for free in a future event

I'm glad she was found, that skin for Haddie is honestly gorgeous, hope to see it be added because she desperately needs more skins and I'd 100% play her more often if she does, she has so much potential to be more popular!

Kinda ironic, (not aimed at you tho) but the artist for the Sable skin were bullied to a point that they deleted all uploaded content, because some people thought it was unfair that they came with a Sable skin that "we all knew" would win, because Sable is so popular.
- I do hope that BHVR take action against said bullies if possible. (perhaps blocking their access to BHVRs twitter).1 -
If I’m being honest the devs shouldn’t even consider a Sable skin for the contest. As far as I know the contest is meant to include everything in a free Rift, and because Sable is so popular, any skin could be added to the store and people would buy it, guaranteeing profit for BHVR

Do you really think that because a character is popular, they should be excluded from community-created content? That seems counterproductive.
If anything, giving players the chance to engage with their favorite characters should be encouraged, not restricted. A Sable skin isnt just for profit its about representing what the majority of players actually want.
Why should the most popular choices be punished instead of celebrated? Shouldn't community content reflect the entire community, including the larger fanbase, rather than the smaller fanbase?1 -
I would not be disappointed if this was just an automatic winner, and I don't think most of the rest of the community would mind either to see Haddie get some well-deserved love.

Just to clarify, it's not taking someone else's spot or being retroactively entered as a finalist. They missed the finalist window; the plan is to get it in the game though!
