Insane PC lag

Hello!

I've recently posted this on the glitch forum but they said to send it here so I've decided to do just that!

When I get on DBD for a first match of the day, I get insane lag like so bad that if I click on a loadout on a survivor it'll just freeze for a minute or two then jump to it. It gets worse in matches, I've had matches where if I start to run I freeze and rubberband in front of the killer and get downed instantly. I've also had matches where if I get hit, i freeze and I'm exhausted on the ground. Whenever I open the game for the first time too it just stays on a black screen until I alt-f4 and reopen DBD.

This also happens if I close dead by daylight then reopen it.

I've uninstalled then reinstalled dbd, verified the game files, updated my computer, updated my drivers, closed then reopened steam, restarted my computer and there's nothing I can do.

I play on PC via steam

This has been happening since the castlevania update, Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this?

You may have already tried some of these, but I would like to go over them just to be sure.
Try lowering the game graphics and turn off V-Sync or Anti-aliasing.
If you have recently been using apps that take up a lot of CPU, close them when the game is running. And lastly, check your disk space where the game is installed. Maybe you need to free some space.
If -dx11 helped, try -dx12 to check for any difference.

I hope this helps! It seems like something is off with the game since the latest update, so you are not alone in this.
